Hanalei Bay Beach is one of our favorite beaches on Kauai for many reasons. Stretching over two miles, Hanalei Bay Beach can accommodate many visitors.
Sun bathers on the sandy shore are surrounded by beautiful scenery set against a backdrop of tropical mountains. Hanalei Bay is flanked at either end by two coral reefs where the Hanalei and Waipa rivers meet the ocean.
In most weather, the bay is calm enough for young families in the central portions. When the wind is right, the right side of the bay can develop larger waves that will satisfy those looking to get in some surfing.
