Sunset Kahili 304 is one of the best kept vacation rentals I have stayed in. Directions for checking in and checking out were clear and easy to follow. The unit itself is lovely and well equipped with everything you need in a home away from home. The view of Poipu is amazing with lots of whales and dolphins visible from the lanai!

highly recommend
304 was spotless and matched the property description/photos perfectly. The condo was stocked with everything we needed and more. Walking distance to beaches and food. Check in/out instructions were clear and easy. The lanai view was stunning - we saw whales, sunsets and rainbows. Highly recommend.

anniversary trip
Every thing was great, the condos kitchen had everything you could need. It has beach towels, chairs, laundry and dishwasher soap. The view from the deck was wonderful.

sunset views
The condo itself was beautiful, comfortable and so well appointed. We were very pleased with the inside and the spectacular view. The only disappointment was the stark concrete nature of the building itself. Very few garden plantings or any charm on the outside.

wonderful vacation spot
First time at Sunset Kahului and it was exactly as described. Kauai Vacation Rentals had a packet ready for us with precise directions and parking spot. The unit was clean, had everything we needed. The view from the lanai was beautiful. We ate out there all the time. It will get warm in the unit if you don’t keep the drapes closed in the afternoons. It was very quiet and relaxing. We will definitely be back again.

perfect location!
We love staying at Sunset! The location is perfect for us! Ocean breezes, beautiful views and we love to walk to Poipu beach every morning to see the turtles and Seals. The sunsets from the lanai are breathtaking! We were not sure if the room temperature would be an issue without A/C, but between the ocean breeze and the fans, the room stays very pleasant. (But we don't spend a ton of time in the room, with so much to do on Kauai!) This is our 4th stay at Sunset Kahii and we will be back!

we love this place!
We love the location and the condo itself. When coming to Kauai we prefer to stay here. It feels homey and comfortable, and always has some things already stocked in the kitchen! There is a wonderful ocean view, and we spent every morning on the private lanai enjoying that view while we ate breakfast. This place has always felt perfect for the two of us!

a great stay at poipu beach
Literally a home away from home. Everything provided, perfect apartment and very nice view of the ocean and beautiful sunsets.
My wife and I have been to Poipu 4 times, first time in Sunset Kahili, a very good experience.
The entire complex is well maintained and clean. We had one neighbor doing some tile work for a few days, but nothing that would ruin our days.
The entire complex is very sensitive to noise, so you have to talk quietly. A normal conversation or tv sound can be heard all over. We had a day with loud neighbors but it was taken care of by the complex manager immediately.
All in all, a very nice week.

We have stayed in the Sunset Kahili many times and always enjoy returning. We particularly like 304, it is clean and very well equipped. Hopefully we will be able to return next Spring!!

beautiful view and beautifully decorated
We enjoyed this spacious condo. It was very comfortable and the incredible view was available to every room. It also was equipped with everything you need and more. It was a quick walk to Poipu Beach. The TV was a little frustrating to use and air conditioning would have been nice. Also, it was inconvenient to have to pick up and drop off the keys.

Rental had everything needed for the week. Beautiful ocean view. Sheer curtains give you no privacy and no relief from the hot sun. Never figured out how to turn on bathroom vanity light.

loved sunset kahili unit 304 !
We booked Sunset Kahili 304 through Kauai Vacation Rentals and stayed there July 20-27.
What we liked about this unit: Spectacular view. Beautifully decorated, comfortable and equipped with every amenity we could wish for. Immaculately clean.
What could be improved: There was no air conditioning, so it was very hot at certain times of the day. It was 80+ degrees inside the unit in the evenings due to the western sun exposure, even though all windows and louvers were wide open and there was a 15mph wind, and we had all the fans turned on.
The magnetically attached shower head wasn’t angled enough to prevent water from spraying onto the floor.
We appreciated the laundry supplies, but the Tide pods have too strong fragrance. It would be better to provide fragrance-free products.
All in all, we would recommend Sunset Kahili 304!

perfect condo to relax in
Directions from real estate company to Sunny Kahilil perfect with envelope and keys on their porch...easy access with elevator, fabulous view from the condo , just as the website showed...shocked with happiness at how well this lovely place was stocked with essentials...very comfortable bed and shower,living room furniture updated and also comfortable....the view was a source of our entertainment the ocean was full of daily happenings..the pool was so nice after a day on the island..Poipu was suggested by a neighbor and proved to be wonderful..we traveled the whole island and favored Poipu for the weather and beaches...the walk to the beach from the condo was quick and. Easy...you will

Very nice to come back to a modern well updated condo with a view unlike others...and crash !!!!

amazing view & accomodations!
Sunset Kahili is an amazing place to stay! Condo 304 came fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay in Poipu. Supplying your own food & clothing, everything else is there. The beach is a 5 min walk and at sunset you can see the sea turtles on the beach. The lanai has a spectacular view of the ocean from the NW to the South. Watch the sunset, surfers, dolphins, boats, birds & the weather as you relax. We will definitely stay again as this was the best value for our vacation. It truly is paradise!

really impressed with kauai vacation rentals
The apartment I stayed in, Sunset Kahili 304 was clean and well-maintained, with the exception of the bedroom fan making noise at low speeds. You also have to be willing to wake up with the sunrise (because there are no black-out curtains), and there's no air conditioner (but a great sea breeze and plenty of fans).
The big pluses are the location (walking distance from Brenneke's Beach) and view -- vast expanse of ocean and shoreline, and the sound of waves crashing due to it being one building away from the beach. Another big plus is it is the most well-equipped condo I've ever stayed in! They have everything you would need (completely stocked kitchen, dishwasher, washer/dryer, beach equipment, bathroom amenities), and lots of things you'd never expect (freezer paks, oils and condiments, binoculars, detergent, etc).
One welcome surprise was a note from Kauai Vacation Rentals with some delicious cookies, a 10-cup packet of coffee, a reuseable shopping bag, and a mini cooler. We used all of the items extensively and they were a great bonus.
Finally, the times I had to deal with Kauai Vacation Rentals always resulted in great customer service. When I had questions before renting, they were friendly and personable over the phone. When my companion left her bag (with passport and credit cards) behind in a closet after we checked out and were already at the airport, I called them again and they agreed to ship it to me express mail. They understood the urgency of the situation and made sure I knew when the staff had found it, and checked whether I wanted to know how much it would cost before they sent it (as express mail is expensive).
They really went above and beyond and I would really recommend the company as an excellent one to deal with. I would also recommend the condo as a fantastic place to stay, and would gladly stay there again if I visit Kauai.

stunning oceanfront views
This property is beautifully situated up on the hill overlooking the beautiful ocean with incredible sunsets right from the lanai. The condo was fully stocked with all beachwear we could need to foods in pantry plus washer and dryer, Location excellent. Will definitely go there again. Perfect for a couple.

rent this property...you won't be sorry
My husband and I rented this property for 9 nights, and it was a great surprise. Honestly, the outside of the building is old and not really plush looking. But we were very happy with the cleanliness of the property, the pool and the condo. It was like home away from home! Just like staying in a friend's place while they were gone. I've stayed at a lot of condo properties through out the islands, and this one was the best outfitted and most welcoming. We eat special diets so I cook a lot and was very very happy with all the gadgets in the kitchen, including blender, food processor, coffee maker, strainers, plenty of dishes, utensils, bowls, etc. They were very generous with spices, extra cans of food, and many other staples that were ;et behind by others and not wasted (sugar, oil, plastic baggies and containers etc, There was plenty of tissue, paper towels, shampoo, suntan lotion, lots of things to choose from if needed. We totally were able to outfit our trips to the beaches with chairs, mats, a GREAT umbrella, and towels. It was nice having a washer and dryer with plenty of soap. No skimping here by the owners. We were very comfortable with the bed and surrounding living area and bath. We would definitely highly recommend this property and would come back. Also we were just steps away from Poipu beach - we are in our 70's and walked there a lot! Rented snorkel equipment right at the beach for $24 a week, and that was so convenient The sunsets were beautiful although the lanais are not as private as I would have liked BUT whose complaining, your in Hawaii! The pool was nicely kept up and we often were the only takers in the early evening. Although we never met them, the vacation rental management staff was very friendly, informative and accommodating (like to our late arrrival). Tips, go to Walmart and Costco to get the supplies you need, best deals on the island. With all that said, Don't hesitate to rent this property, you won't be sorry.

Over all our stay was pleasant, however, there were a couple issues that should not have been a concern. The floors or carpets in the unit were dirty, as our feet showed when walking around barefoot. Also several dishes in the cupboard were dirty and we had to wash many before using.

great time in kauai
Just another great experience renting a Condo. This place had everything you needed included beach chairs, cooler, and umbrella for the beach. All the cupboards were full of anything you needed to cook. It had a great view of the beach. I was concerned that it did not have AC but with the Fans and cool air from the Ocean I don't think we would have turned it on if they had it. If I came back to Kauai I would come back to this place. The only issue was there is a big bump coming into the Condo Parking lot where we it rubbed on the bottom of the Camaro that we rented.

After having to cancel three time we finally made it at the end of August. We had a fantastic two weeks at the Sunset Kahili, this was the 4th time we have stayed there and will go no where else the next visit to Hawaii.

Loved the condo. It was like a "home away from home" and provided everything we needed. Enjoyed having our coffee in the morning on the balcony watching the ocean waves. Quick walk to the beach.
