peaceful, pristine property; perfect place
The room was exactly all we needed for our stay. We were able to prepare and cook meals, and we also used the bbq area. We did some laundry (5.50 for a load to wash & dry/ coin-op only, but there is a change machine). We swam in the pool daily. Gorgeous pool! The grounds are like some tropical microclimate jungle full of the most beautiful and colorful flora and fauna you could imagine! Also, many chickens, parakeets (?), and geckos! All so cute! We were able to get parking every day except our very last night, but there was ample street parking right by the property, so no problem there. There are wonderful walks to do from the property into cute little neighborhoods and even Baby Beach. Across the street is the ocean! This is a very quiet and peaceful retreat. The loudest things are the birds! Ha! We will definitely enjoy staying here again for many years to come.

Perfectly fine for us 76 and 78 year old couple.
The pool water is pristine, and the pool space is large enough and is beautifully surrounded by the many Hawaiian ��!

We really liked our was right in the middle of everything. We wish there was a few handicap spaces in the complex since myself and my g.f. have mobility issues. The small parking lot was a little hard to get in and out of.

This unit has a great location. It’s very across the road from the best snorkelling beach. The grounds of the complex were parked like the room was clean and neat. Everything we needed was there. We’re already planning our next visit.

214 stay in kauai
The rental was the perfect size for us. Spacious bathroom and ample room for our clothes. The kitchen was tight, but worked well. The location was great, close to Poipu Beach, we could walk across the street to the beach to watch sunrises and sunsets, and it was easy for us to get everywhere we wanted to go. The parking was great, right next to the building and covered from the heat.
We did not have a lanai, which was our choice. We sat by the bbq place to have a beer outside. We met a few nice people, but it would have been nicer to have had a bigger area.
This was great for our purposes and would gladly rent again.

Other than no lighting in back hallway (faulty switch) the room was fine. The photo does not clearly indicate that the only window permits free view of bed if drapes are open. Rice cooker was greatly appreciated.

We love the Prince Kuhio properties. It’s always very clean and very beautiful.
My two complaints would be, there was Tupperware, ziplocks or foil to keep our food fresh.
And we ran out of toilet paper and had to buy some for the last 3 days.

great stay on kauai
Clean & tidy. Had everything we needed to cook & eat at home some nights. Walkable & easy to navigate to. Parking was a little bit of a hassle some nights but nothing crazy. Would definitely rebook and recommend to friends.

best location and beautiful grounds!
Our Prince Kuhio Studio was in the perfect location of Poi Pu. Across the street from The Beach House Restaurant. Very close to several beaches. The condo had everything you needed including A/C. The place was a little outdated but still very cute and extremely comfortable. I highly recommend Kauai Vacation Rentals & RE! They were extremely helpful and friendly and always answered the phone.

a perfect getaway
This was the perfect place to bring my niece for a vacation in Hawaii. We were mostly there just to sleep, because we spent a lot of time exploring the island. We found the bed comfortable, and the place was furnished with everything we needed.

kuaia vacation
We loved the location of the rental, we had everything we needed close by.
The hime was very comfortable for the 2 of us. We did have a little issue with the air conditioning, but were able to use it. Overall a good experience.

we had a really good time at prince kuhio condos in kauai.
The condo met our expectations.
It was clean and as described in the photos on website. The kitchen with the big fridge was very useful.The AC unit did its job for the bedroom area to keep us cool during the hot days.

prince kuhio studio 214 in march
My daughter and I had a wonderful stay. It was close to several nice beaches, away from heavy traffic, close to Long's Drug store, and close to the wonderful town of Koloa and several nice restaurants. The studio was a perfect size for 2 people with a reasonably sized kitchen, a sizable refrigerator, and the complex has a laundry room. The swimming pool area and condo grounds are beautiful... Lots of wonderful plants and flowers. If you are exploring the southside of Kaua'i, it is idea. We stayed in March, not sure what it would be like to stay in the summer, etc... It does have a standup air conditioner. Keep in mind, it has a small shower, no bathtub and there is no hot tub available, however, the swimming pool is wonderful. I'd certainly stay there again... This was our second time to rent PK214, and both stays were excellent.
The unit feels spacious for a studio, and it’s very comfortable and furnished beautifully, There is also an expansive window view to the tropical foliage and the pool. We were glad to return and look forward to our next stay there!

The apartment was in a great location and met our needs. The apartment is a bit outdated. We really just need a clean and safe place to sleep and this worked fine. Others comment about the shower. It’s a standard stall shower.
We appreciated the overflow parking in the garage. The air conditioner is a portable unit and initially I was not happy about that. It wound up being fine however we chose this unit with no lanai bc it had air conditioning over a unit with a lanai and no air.

we love kauai vacation rentals!
I loved our time at the Prince Kuhio Studio 214! My husband and I came here on our honeymoon and it was perfect for our stay. It was conveniently located and there was always available parking for our rental car. The walk to the beach was 1 minute - that beach was the best snorkeling spot that we experienced!

spacious and well-equipped studio
Lovely stay in this clean space. We had everything we needed and much more. Delighted to find a rice cooker for instance. On the other side of the walkway outside the studio is a beautiful tropical garden and a pool. Make sure you read the email from Kauai Vacation Rentals that you will get the week before your stay for important check-in information as you will need to pick up your keys from their office which is located in Lihue.

nice amenities in the room, but dirty floors and too tiny shower
Nice amenities in the bedroom and kitchen. Beautifully maintained garden. But the floor is dirty. Maintenance should mop the floors thoroughly every time a guest checks out. After just 2 minutes of walking barefoot in the room and kitchen my feet became dirty. Yuck! This is minor compared to the bathroom problem. A major problem of the bathroom is the super compact shower area. I'm 5'5" and my wife is shorter, and the shower area was tiny even for us. My elbow kept hitting the walls and there was water all over the bathroom floor as a result. I recommend this room 50:50 due to these 2 problems. The other amenities in the room and kitchen are good. Garden area is great with sounds of birds chirping all day (April 2022).

Three weeks overlooking the pool and well groomed gardens. Unit 214 is well located and well equipped with A/C and comfy king bed. Easy access to the snorkelling beach and the best sunset location. No complaints- we will return!!

This is the 7th different unit in PK’s in which I have stayed. I made my travel plans later than usual this year due to Covid, so had to “settle” for what was left (214 is smaller, has no lanai, has only a free standing AC, window right next to the stairwell, no sleeper sofa). As usual, some of the reviews were concerning, but it turned out to be totally fine. The AC worked great. I bought damp rid due to the reviews of humidity in the bathroom area, but there was minimal issue. It was spacious enough for me and my college age son. Beach chairs and umbrella were in great shape. Internet and TV worked great. Shower is super tiny. No salt/pepper/spices/oil/etc as I’ve been used to in other units (Covid rules?, but inconvenient). Remember, PK’s is great for the money..you can’t beat it in Poipu, but do not expect luxury. It is an older place, and feels it, but is nicely maintained with beautiful grounds. Even this less desirable unit was fantastic for the price if expectations are reasonable,

We sought a quiet place to relax, but also close enough to take in all that Kauai has to offer, and Prince Kuhio satisfied all those needs. Sure, it wasn't the most luxurious, or dialed in, but we didn't come to Kauai to sit in the condo all day...
We wanted to literally walk across the street and go snorkeling, and be able to return to a clean spacious studio and relax before adventuring out again...Evening swims in the pool were necessary and comfortable...The staff at Kauai vacations are very friendly and helpful...All is good...
