Description

A rare combination of amenities exists at Lei Aloha, a hidden retreat. Gates lead into a private courtyard, completely enclosed by a stucco wall and tropical plants, including plumeria, heliconia, gardenia, and torch ginger. In the center of the courtyard is a 16' x 40' swimming pool, patio space, and a lawn. Lei Aloha is oriented to take advantage of refreshing trade winds that keep it a comfortable temperature.

Upon entering this custom-built home, you are greeted by a magnificent view of towering Norfolk Island Pines that sway in the breeze. These graceful giants, framed by the soaring windows of the great room, flank the fairway of a frisbee golf course – fun for the whole family!

Lei Aloha is comfortable and tastefully appointed. This breezy, Hawaiian home of over 3200 sq. ft. offers a primary suite and two guest bedrooms on the first level, all opening onto the courtyard and the pool through French doors. An additional primary suite is located on the second level and features a deck that overlooks the pool.

Enjoy your morning coffee on the lanai, or on the lawn under a palm tree next to the pool. Fire up the gas barbecue on the patio for that fresh mahi-mahi from the local fish market and serve it on an outdoor dining table gracing the patio. Professional landscape artists care for the tropical fruit and foliage that will delight your senses. There is almost always a ripe papaya on one of the papaya trees, and fresh citrus available for cooking or cocktails! Fragrances of mock orange, pua kenikeni, jasmine and pikake at various times of the year will confirm that you are in paradise!

Princeville is the gateway to an amazing range of activities available on the scenic North Shore. Just a few minutes' drive will have you kayaking emerald rivers, touring the canyons and valleys by helicopter, hiking along the Na Pali Coast, horseback riding to waterfalls, deep-sea fishing and whale-watching. The shops and restaurants of Princeville Center are just a short walk from the house. Or for a truly local shopping and dining experience, nearby Hanalei offers varied cuisine and bohemian boutiques, as well as a long, crescent-shaped beach, great for a moonlit stroll.

Princeville's weather often includes brilliant, tropical sunshine and occasional, scattered rain showers throughout the day. A benefit of these brief showers is that our vegetation on the north side of Kauai is much more green and lush than the more arid and desert-like South Shore. Although there can be more rainfall in the winter season in Princeville, it is rare to experience prolonged periods of precipitation. Princeville's temperature is mild and pleasant throughout the year, with only a small temperature difference between night and day. Water temperatures tend to average around 80 degrees in the summer and 73 degrees in the winter.

The pool at Lei Aloha, like most pools in Hawaii, is heated by the warm, tropical sun. The water temperature will vary with the weather conditions. In the winter, the water will usually be in the mid-70s, and in the summer, the low to mid-80s. We find that guests coming from very cold climates find the pool enjoyable, even in the winter months. Those who have enjoyed this property generally agree that on a warm day, the pool feels refreshing, whatever the temperature!

This house exceeded our expectations and we would definitely stay again. Clean. Large- plenty of room for the entire family, we never felt on top of each other. It was great having 2 fridges and dryers. The pool was beautiful and private.

Great house in a quiet neighborhood. Easy to get around, Hanalei was our favourite beach. Really easy to rent a car and drive around Kauai to get to the other communities. If you just want to stay at one place, you had all the conveniences close by.

Spacious and comfortable house. Pictures/description very accurate. Property management was attentive and easy to work with. Kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to cook meals at home. Beach chairs, towels, coolers, some swim gear were all available for our use so we didn’t have to purchase or travel with extra stuff. Each room has own bath, bedrooms all had ceiling fan and stand fans. Beautiful property in quiet neighborhood close to many amenities and activities. great place for group of friends or family. Only comment is the first day we arrived the master room had a musty odor but cleared out with open windows and some air freshener. Secret beach was worth the short hike, Fire show was educational and entertaining. Anini beach was perfect for kids to try out the snorkel masks. Overall, a great place to stay!

Everything was fantastic. If we had any complaints, it would only be the toilet paper! Also the only air-conditioning is in the master suite. Otherwise,the kitchen has most gadgets you would need, even a extra refrigerator in garage and coolers in garage for beach outings. This home was better than we expected! We expected it to be nice but it was amazing! The yard was gorgeous, the pool was wonderful and we used it daily. The home was very clean. It worked out perfectly with our group of 7, everyone loved their rooms and the 4 bathrooms was perfect! Very close to Princeville marketplace for a quick breakfast and groceries. Great location! Can’t wait to book it again!

needed home with room for 7 adults and their own rooms and this place fit the bill. lots of room to spread out and 2 outdoor spaces to hang out. Near food places and grocery and good place to see north side of Kauai.
Kitchen well equipped for cooking. Nice to find an outdoor bathroom for pool area- no need to go inside with wet clothes and can change out of wet clothes too if wanting to. In quiet neighborhood.
Has been updated from photos with upstairs room now with full bath and private. Would easily return to stay again. Would also be good place with family with kids and needing room to spread out and pool to play in.

Great stay - good location, pool wonderful. Property management company was fantastic, responsive, and easy to work with.

Only con was that ONLY the master bedroom has AC. The rest of the house does NOT have AC. This is in the listing in very fine print, but was not called out in any prominent type of way.

Our family of 5 had a lovely stay. The bedrooms felt pretty separated, especially the master and the "second master", which gave everyone space. We enjoyed the spacious, open floor plan on the kitchen/dining room/living room and vaulted ceilings. The kitchen was well appointed and having a pool was a great option after spending the morning /early PM at the beach.

The location was great - walkable to the grocery store and a couple of restaurants.

The home was a bit warm. The mini-split in the Master did not cool it down (we asked that the property mgmt company take a look at this but they didn't send anyone out before we left).

Overall, we were very happy!

We had an amazing week in Kauai and this home was the perfect place for our family. We enjoyed cooking in the fully stocked kitchen, playing games in the pool and taking walks in the lovely neighborhood. It was close to many beaches, the grocery store and Hanalei where we had come to attend a wedding.

The house was beautiful. The layout was ideal for our family of 7, and we had cousins and friends over in the evenings to grill and enjoy dinners outside. There were pool toys, beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler. They had everything we needed and more.

The property manager was very helpful with an appliance issue we had, as well as allowing us to borrow another cooler. They also had clear communication about check in/check out. Both were easy to follow.

I would highly recommend this property. It is a gorgeous place to stay and I hope to return one day.

This was our third time staying at this property, this time with a large group of eight. The property is located in a beautiful location within Princeville, close to Hanalei. The set up of the home is perfect for large families, and having the pool is great. The landscaping, as always, was perfectly maintained. We will definitely return to this house during our next trip to the island.

This was a great family house. We all had privacy when we wanted and the great room accommodated all of us. The pool was a nice addition. Even though the beaches are beautiful they were often too rough for the little ones. The pool was great for effortless entertainment and fun! The garden was spectacular and private. We loved our stay!

Love the location; beautiful neighborhood. We used the pool everyday! This was our first vacation home and it was a great experience. This was also the first time to the islands; we wanted a relaxing (non-big city) island. It was just what we were looking for.

Our family of 6 had a fantastic stay in this truly unique home. Loved the pool, private yard and convenient location to groceries, restaurants and park. A 5 min drive to Anini Beach (Our Family Favorite) and others an easy 10-15 min drive. Home was well equipped and organized and offered spacious rooms especially the Master Suite which is a private oasis in itself. The upscale neighborhood is quiet and lovely to stroll and explore. 
Would also like to thank Kauai Vacation Rentals as they were prompt and professional to deal with. We appreciated the thoughtful welcome package of shopping bags, cooler bags and tasty treats.

The perfect place for a family! The home itself is very well appointed with everything you could think of for a comfortable stay. A fully equipped kitchen. Towels for the beach and the baths. Every convenience and generous space. Well located for our needs. Easy access to beaches, trails, all the Island has to offer. The pool was a welcome amenity in the mornings and evenings. We will definitely visit again. A home run.

Shopping and dining is convenient plus Hanalei and its beautiful beaches is just a 5 minute drive. This was a vacation that will be historically remembered.

We stayed here with my two children (5 and 2 years old) and my sister in law's family (3 and 1 year old) and we had an amazing time. The property is perfect for children. It is really close to the local grocery store and Hanalei. We plan to stay here next time we come to Kauai. The house was very nice and very comfortable. Overall I would highly recommend this house to any one. Its like having your own resort to yourself.

My family and I stayed at the Lei Aloha house in Princeville this past July and absolutely loved it! The house was beautifully decorated with canvas pictures of Kauai and it was spacious enough for 8 or more people. The house was well equipped and super clean. I highly recommend staying at the Lei Aloha house without any doubt or question. It was the best place me and my family ever stayed at and we hope to stay there again in the near future. To the homeowners of the property, thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home!
