3rd time renting in Sealodge and after 25 years man has it deteriorated. First time at E-5 and it must be corporate owned as they do no maintenance and in some areas , pretty dangerous. The only reason it still gets rented here is the view as the buildings are dilapidated. Definitely not worth what they’re charging. Actually I am alittle surprised they haven’t been sued! Maybe they have. Most electric outlets when unplugging the whole junction box comes out of the wall. Most light bulbs in unit are burnt out. All in all, there are better options ion the North Shore than these ramshacked units.

There are only 20 feet from the lanai to the edge of the green bluff and the drop to the ocean. We watched waves crash and palm trees sway all parts of the day. Easy access on the ground floor with no one above you and a short walk to the great pool. The kitchen is updated but the fridge is loud. The TV isn’t worth the effort and the carpet is....the electrical outlets are still loose as is the toilet and the siding around the bed room window flaps in the wind. Nonetheless everything works and we enjoyed most of our time outside, playing tennis at Makai (open to the public), and of course at Hanalei Bay a short beautiful drive away. So if you need to be pampered and coddled look to the resorts but be ready to pay double. For people like us this place is just right.

Thank you for a wonderful experience from booking right thru to departure. As other reviewers have indicated, the property could certainly do with a refresh and some attention to maintenance but it did not distract from our enjoyment and relaxation. The lower floor bathroom should be the owners next improvement and the sooner the better as the toilet is not properly secured to the floor and this can lead to unwelcome damage. Great newer kitchen but a bit frightening upon unplugging counter appliances only to find the both counter electrical outlet boxes are not secured to anything.

This condo, E-5 in Sealodge, is one of the loveliest we’ve ever stayed in. The location and view of the ocean are outstanding. It is literally at the edge of the cliff! Wonderful ocean breezes kept us comfortable day and night. The unit is nicely appointed, kitchen well equipped for cooking at home, which we did each night. The rental agency staff were very helpful. Check in and out we’re super easy and efficient. We can’t wait to come back!

The condo looks good at first glance, but after staying there, you find that the place really needs an update. Seating is uncomfortable, from the chairs to the sofa whose cushions are so flat, you sink down low. The refrigerator runs almost constantly and wet icicles drip in the freezer. The tiny TV is the size of a pc monitor and does not receive Netflix or similar movie channel. The lighting is poor, sometimes outlets don't work and switches aren't connected to anything. Also, there are few amenities in Princeville so you must drive 30 minutes to find more.

We absolutely loved staying here and would definitely stay here again. The location was centrally located on the North side of the island, just a short drive to beaches, restaurants, grocery stores etc. It was a very comfortable stay with spectacular views and we loved the Nene and rooster welcoming committee:) Also, thank you for the goodies that were left for us. We appreciated that special touch.

We’ve stayed in this condo several times now. It’s not the schmancy-est, but it’s solid, comfortable, has two full bathrooms, all the necessities for a kitchen, a washer/dryer in the unit, and beach chairs. Bonuses include the fabulous breezes from the ocean, the local birds who come to beg for food (please don’t feed them!), and the aerial displays from ‘Iwa, Tropic Birds, etc. that fly by on their way to the lighthouse.

The location is great and the views from the living rooms and bedrooms beautiful. I was a little worried about no AC, but it wasn’t an issue. There’s such a nice breeze and the all windows made it very comfortable. Would stay here again.

This is our second stay at this well situated Sealodge unit. Although there are several dated and worn amenities (some things really in needed of updating or replacement), this unit does afford one of the better view locations of Sealodge. Enjoy the chickens (Biff, Spike, Banana, Nugget, Carmen, Peanut, Blondie, Cranberry, Walnut) as they’re good condo companions taking care of any crawling critters that can find their way into units.

Sealodge E-5 is the perfect place to stay in Princeville. The ocean view from the lanai is spectacular. It is quiet and out of the fray, yet within easy walking distance to everything in Princeville. Within a quick drive we were able to visit numerous north shore beaches (great for snorkeling), lighthouse (great for birdwatching), stare park (great for hiking), and botanical gardens.

We had a wonderful time! Absolutely stunning setting. Sealodge is old but has such a peaceful vibe and location and the interior of this unit has been updated. We really enjoyed the patio overlooking the blue Pacific. Very quiet and relaxing. The condo was well equipped with beach chairs, cooler, nice pots and pans, etc. The unit was clean with fresh carpeting, granite counters. Would return in a heartbeat. This was our second time using Kauai Vacation Rentals. Great Experience.

This condo has everything you need including a gorgeous ocean view. We loved our stay here. Do realize that, like many places in Hawaii, there is no air conditioning. Fans and open windows did the trick for us. Mahalo to the owners for sharing this wonderful place.

Our location was spectacular with a view of the entire bay and along Anini Beach. The staff at Kauai Vacation Rentals were incredible and we would totally rent from them again. I would like to note that the carpet in the unit could use a good cleaning and or update, seems old and a bit musty. But we maximized everyday and weren't there except to sleep and a few cooked dinners on the patio.

We walked to the beach once but it was high tide and we didn't spend much time at that one, but it looked nice too! The place was not super modern but it was clean and had a really cute beach vibe, it was perfect for us.

The location is spectacular. We enjoyed listening to the surf below our window while falling asleep. It's nice to have a private beach. (Make sure you get directions to the beach, the path is misleading).
The property management team was very supportive when we had concerns about the property. This condo was the least expensive oceanfront unit in Princeville, and we found out why. Hopefully the owner has acted on our suggestions before it's rented again.

As a newly retired couple, my husband and I visited Kauai for the first time. We quarantined in a bubble hotel and then moved to this vrbo unit which was located on the water and was 10 minutes from where I our was staying with friends during Covid. We thoroughly enjoyed the unit, its location proximity to nearby villages, cafes, and groceries. We were able to entertain our son and girlfriend for shared meals & table games in the evenings and easily travel to sites and hikes with them during the day. With two baths/bedrooms, the unit accommodates two perfectly and four, if needed. We would definitely return.

This is a sweet place, the pictures tell it all, the view is stunning, you can see the ocean out of the bedroom, living room and lanai. We ate breakfast on the lanai every morning and the nene would come and visit us. The view from the kitchen is amazing too, you see the mountains of Hanalei bay.
The stars at night are stunning too, bring a star app on your phone or iPad, since there are so many, it helps to identify them.
We were there the end of October into November, the trade winds were so refreshing and sleeping to the sound of the ocean was a real treat!!

This is a sweet little place...cozy and comfy...the setting and view are the stars of the show...stunning. We liked the soft sheets...nice colors...enjoyed the art, too...Enjoyed sitting on the lanai and in the loft ready and watching the loveliness. This was our 21st year to Kauai and 17 years with KVR.

Fantastic stay at Sealodge E5. We thoroughly enjoyed the views and having coffee on our lanai. We also enjoyed the outdoor BBQ for grilling fresh fish. Will recommend this stay to anyone looking for a week/weekend getaway with proximity to north shore beaches. Quiet and peaceful with comfortable and safe accommodation. We hope to visit again real soon!

E-5 was lovely! Enjoyed the artwork, Sealodge is a quiet complex and we like that. We spent a lot of time on the lanai...loved watching the sea and sky move and change...whales, birds. I also loved the loft, not for sleeping, but for sitting like a bird in a tree top nest.

Sealodge E-5 is a lovely, oceanfront condominium surrounded by lush, tropical foliage and a well manicured landscape. Its location near the edge of a bluff above the coastline offers guests dramatic views of the Pacific Ocean.
Throughout the year, you may see playful dolphins having fun in the water and, during winter months, this is a perfect place to watch for awesome humpback whales playing off shore. This is a peaceful location with no condos below or above.
Relax on your private lanai amid gentle breezes and take in the panoramic vista of swaying palm trees against an expansive ocean backdrop. In the distance, you can see Kilauea Lighthouse and Mokuaeae Island to the south and Haena Point to the north.
You are truly in a tropical paradise.
There is a nice variety of restaurants and cafes right in Princeville and the neighboring town of Hanalei just a short drive away. Tempting menus offer fresh seafood, local produce and regional cuisine as well as more traditional choices.
Activities nearby include seasonal swimming, snorkeling, fishing, surfing, windsurfing, horseback riding, hiking, shopping and golf.
