sleep to crash of surf
Incredible view and surf noise all night and day. The unit was not large but outfitted well. We enjoyed its location. Attractively remodeled. The building is older and it showed but we enjoyed our stay immensely.

anniversary trip stay in kauai
My family and I had a wonderful stay in Sunset Kahili 501. The unit is absolutely stocked with everything one would need to cook, go to the beach, or to relax. Grocery stores and restaurants are just a short drive away. There is an elevator, a lovely pool that changes color at night, a BBQ area, carts for carrying heavy bags, and an easy code entry system. No worry about losing or forgetting a house key. The beds were comfortable, there is lots of storage space for clothes, and the view from every room can’t be beat. Really hated to have to leave.

paradise found!
Location, location, location. The view from the lanai is exceptional. We would come back here just to have our morning Kauai coffee while we looked for sea turtles in the surf below, the birds in the palm tree, and the rainbows over Poipu Beach. The temps were warm but we managed to use the portable air conditioner and fans to be comfortable. The management company is very responsive and the outside area is well maintained. While we visited all over the island, we welcomed returning to 501 each evening. There is no better view of the setting sun than this lanai. We are looking forward to returning next year.

poipu paradise
The condo was in a convenient location with a spectacular view; the grounds were impeccably maintained; dining & grocery shopping were within 10 minute drive; Master bath was extremely small, as was the secondary and each had a shower, no tubs; but overall was a pleasant experience. Would have liked a TV in 2nd bedroom but the one in living room sufficed.

incredible views
This condo was great for our 10 day stay. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai each morning to watch the sea turtles below and whales in the distance. Every evening we sat out there again to watch the sunset. You can see all the way down the south coast. The unit itself worked well for our party of 3 adults. The unit had everything we needed.

a wonderful find
The balcony views are truly fantastic. We walked the heritage trail everyday. 6 miles rt from the condo to the end of the trail. The views were fantastic. One of our favorite hikes for ocean cliff and mountain views. The walk to beaches were an easy 7 min. A bit uphill on the way back, but no problem.

fantastic view, a few problems
The best view in Poipu. Absolutely gorgeous!
Beautifully furnished, including the spacious lanai.
Downsides: an occasional sewage smell emanating from outside of the property. The unit was too hot to sleep comfortably.

Excellent all-around experience! This condo has spectacular ocean and coast views! Comfortable, with all the amenities you need including beach towels, chairs, rolling coolers, umbrella! Off-street parking is very convenient. We hope to return!

a bit of heaven
501 offers a breathtaking view along with swaying palm trees and the sound and sights of crashing waves right below our Lana'i. The decor and amenities were lovely. The kitchen offered nice dishes and cooking ware. My 2 adult daughters & I have stayed at Sunset Kahili before and love the location. Kauai Vacation Rentals were great to work with.

Rainbows galore. Great response to service needed to figure out how to use the TV. Clean rooms. Large deck is terrific. Weather was so windy that whale spouts were very hard to see. But best weather in the island is on this side of the island.

best views on kauai!
We loved our vacation time in Sunset Kahili 501. Being an end unit on the top floor, the views and sounds of the ocean were amazing - beautiful, relaxing, and ever-changing. Every single day we could look down from our living room window, lanai, or steps and see Green Sea Turtles swimming near the shore. The unit was beautiful inside, with comfortable furnishings and a very handy full-sized washer and dryer tastefully tucked into a cabinet and closet. Very nice beach chairs, books, and games were available for our use. Kauai Vacation Rentals was so welcoming with a reusable tote which included yummy treats and a small cooler to use throughout our trip and beyond. Kauai Vacation rentals also worked hard to accommodate our needs. We were very pleased with their professional manner. We definitely hope to stay in 501 again!

wonderful stay
We spent 2 weeks on Kauai in Sunset Kahili 501 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Being on the top floor and end unit we enjoyed sunrises from the east, almost 180 degrees of ocean view and sunsets in the west. Being on the top floor also ensured privacy. The unit was well furnished. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a rice cooker. Also supplied was a beach umbrella, snorkeling equipment and beach chairs. The pool was deliciously warm. We fell asleep each night to the ocean surf. A wonderful stay.

spectacular ocean view, very nice unit
Nicely furnished, kitchen equipped for a chef, and beach toys. We saw turtles playing, dolphins visiting, and waves crashing. Easy walk to the beach.

wonderful kauai visit
The views from this condo are truly amazing! Loved the wind blowing through, hearing the waves crashing and seeing the sea turtles below each day. The condo was nicely furnished. Perfect location and easy to walk to Poipu Beach, Little Fish Coffee, And nearby shops.

Lovely end unit directly facing the ocean! Well kept and had all the amenities just like being at home. Enjoyed morning meals on the lanai watching the turtles �� pop up here and there in the shore line. Enjoyed watching the sunset with the perfect view and nothing blocking the line of sight. We enjoyed our stay very much and would love to be back again!

i love the ocean view in my bed.
Easy to pick up the key in their office. It is just 5 minutes drive from the airport. The property manager is very nice when i asked a favour if i can leave our luggage but I decided not to leave it because we changed our plan. Dropping off the keys after Check out are easy too. Definitely we will come back again in this property someday.

beautiful views!
My daughter and I had a wonderful time at this condo, the best one in the building! Very comfortable and looks recently updated. Easily accessible with an elevator and carts to carry your luggage. It's a bit far to walk to beach with accessories, so we drove and found parking easily at Poipu Beach.

We have been coming to 501 for several decades. We love the view, the amenities, location and the familiarity of everything. The weather this trip was perfect. Poipu and Koloa have so many great places to visit. Even though some places couldn't be open at normal hours, due to the effects of the pandemic, everyone is so friendly and welcoming.

beautiful sunset kahili 501.
This was our 5th stay at the unit. Absolutely the best views of Kaui's south shore. Fantastic sunsets every night. As an end unit, it enjoys unobstructed views from every room. Great breezes from the trade winds. The unit was recently remodeled and is very attractive and comfortable. Modern kitchen and bathrooms.
As always, impeccably clean.
It is just a short walk to Poipu Beach (great for swimming and snorkeling) and local shops and restaurants.
We love this place and can't recommend it highly enough.

This condo was amazing! I could have stayed on the lanai our entire stay! But the home was wonderful...had everything I could have asked for...the kitchen was great! I hope to go back here many times! The place was beautiful, clean and exactly like I had hoped! It was in a perfect location...can’t wait to go back!

We love Sunset Kahili and working with Kauai Vacation Rental has always been positive! 501 is looking a little worn though— same furniture, towels, beach chairs for a number of years. Maybe when things pick up a little more, there will be funds to replace worn furniture.
