Description

Ramatici Ohana Hale is a spacious three-bedroom custom home with panoramic views of the mountains, waterfalls and distant Hanalei Bay. Located on 1/3 acre in the serene and exclusive Sunset Drive neighborhood of Princeville, the home is adjacent to the community’s heated pool and tennis court.

The newly updated home encapsulates the Aloha spirit with thoughtful amenities and plenty of room to relax and unwind. The two-story open floor plan is designed to comfortably accommodate families, couples and groups of friends. As you enter the bright and airy home, the large living room spreads out to the left. To your right is the dining area which leads to the well-equipped gourmet kitchen. The sliding door opens from the kitchen to the outdoor dining area and Weber barbecue.

Downstairs there are two bedrooms, each with king beds. The primary suite upstairs is stunning: a huge bedroom with a king bed, 55" flat screen TV and en-suite bath with double sinks. A spacious family room with a wet bar and reading nook opens onto the lanai which will surely become your favorite place to hang out. Views, views, views everywhere!

From the upstairs lanai, you will have front row seats to Kauai's magical paradise, where waterfalls rush hundreds of feet down the majestic mountains that cascade into the azure waters of Hanalei Bay. Watch the sky turn the colors of the rainbow at sunset and listen to the crashing surf at night.

Fire up the Weber gas barbecue grill on the backyard patio for a dinner of fresh island fish complemented by organic produce from the local farmers markets. Or take a 10-15 minute stroll to nearby restaurants for sushi, pizza, island favorites and live Hawaiian entertainment. Very nice home for a small group of friends or family, and it was as described and shown in the listing photos. We appreciated how well stocked the house was, especially the kitchen and beach items. The owners also provided a nice guidebook. The upstairs lanai was our favorite spot! The fans were very helpful, but it does get quite warm and humid during the day without AC. Beds were comfortable as well. Location wise it was a very quiet neighborhood in the golf resort community of Princeville, next to the mostly empty pool and tennis courts. The pool was nice and refreshing! The frequent "no parking, no trespassing, no noise" signs throughout the community don't exactly exude the aloha spirit, but we enjoyed the scenery and 20-30 minute hikes to Hideaways Beach and Queen's bath. We enjoyed being able to eat at home, but did go to Wiki Pizza down the road which was yummy with amazing views! Hanalei is a short drive away and there is a lot more to do there with a huge beach that is accessible for those with more limited mobility (the beach spots in Princeville were challenging to get to). Anini beach was also nice and easy to access. We recommend the Ahi Lele fire show (kind of like a luau) at Anaina Hou Community Park, as well as the mini golf there. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the north shore of Kauai and would definitely return to the area again!

Great VRBO home and location! The house had more supplies and kitchen stuff than was listed on the site. Things like oscillating fans came in very handy. Quiet neighborhood with good views for the mountains. We spent a lot of time on the lanai and enjoyed our time there. They also had beach chairs and umbrellas which we really appreciated not having to rent. Last people who used them left food trash and bottles in the chair pockets which wasn’t very respectful to the owners. We took care of it. Several beaches within walking distance, like Hideaway beach, the beach by the resort on Hanalei Bay and short walking distance to Queens bath which was cool to swim and jump in from surrounding rocks. All in all very happy with this house and our stay there.

Ramatici Ohana Hale is one of the best rental homes we've ever stayed in. It is so well appointed, from the bedding to the lanai. The kitchen has every imaginable tool/ pots and pans, Perfect for preparing meals. Location is perfect for exploring the north shore. It's located in a small, quiet neighborhood.

We rented a house in Princeville, Kauai called Ramatici Ohana Hale for thirteen days. The house was exactly what we needed, well-appointed, and in a great location. As part of a small private community, it had a shared pool and tennis/pickleball courts, and we happily used both. The place came with snorkeling equipment and boogie boards, which were great to have for our many beach excursions. This was our first time in Hawaii and it was entirely a pleasure.

Best feature : Sitting on the upper lanai with views of Bali Hai in a peaceful neighborhood listening to birdsong.
On property we enjoyed the pool, playing monopoly, putting a puzzle together, watching tv. The beds were comfortable and it was great that they were all kings. Area features we liked were Pua Poa and Anini beaches, Lapperts in Princeville, Hanalei Dolphin.
Improvements: A/C? In the afternoon the house was pretty warm ( it cooled down overnight). I didn’t think highs around 77 would feel that hot. The cooktop has seen better days.

This house was beautiful. We loved the peacefulness of Princeville. The views from the lanai were spectacular and never grew old. Our second night we encountered a power outage that was throughout the island. We were able to locate candles and flashlights as we waited for the power to come back on. The tennis/pickle ball courts and pool were right next door to the house. We utilized Foodland for most of our groceries and the kitchen provided all the amenities that we needed to prepare meals. We were able to complete several excursions that were planned ahead of time: Makana Na’Pali Coast boat tour, Smith Family Luau, Lighthouse visit, Surfing lessons and Waimea Canyon. Princeville is a ride to most excursions and there was road construction that took additional time. We
found the beaches a bit challenging locally to access parking, but did well in nearby Hanalei. It took some getting used to not having AC, but I knew this when I booked. Overall- a perfect family vacation that exceeded all of our expectations! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in such a beautiful home! ❤️

Perfect for Relaxing Vacation

The house and location were perfect for us, as we had teenagers downstairs and adults upstairs. The upstairs master is huge, quiet, and cool. Although the weather was warm, we could always find a cool spot to hang out, on the lanai in the morning or at sunset, and downstairs in the afternoons.
Also, we loved the short walk to the public stairs that takes you to the beautiful Puu Poe beach. The pool and tennis/pickleball court are steps away and we used both frequently.
Great stay, we would love to come back. Thank you!

Recently my wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful, Ramatici Ohana Hale vacation home in Princeville/Hanalei, and I must say, it was an incredible experience.

The home itself was very comfortable and well appointed, with two large rooms downstairs and a shared full bath. The primary room was on the second floor adjacent to a very large covered deck. This is where we spent most of our time taking in the views of Hanalei Bay or watching the magnificent sunsets. The location of the property was perfect. Located in a small enclave of similar well maintained homes, the Ohana Hale property providing convenient access to everything we needed.

First and foremost, the surrounding amenities were exceptional. We were just a short distance away from shopping centers, where we could easily find anything we needed. Whether it was groceries, souvenirs, or other essentials, we were able to find everything without any hassle. Additionally, the variety of dining options in the area was impressive. We indulged in some delicious local cuisine and had the opportunity to try different restaurants every night. The proximity to the beaches was another highlight. We had the luxury of visiting multiple stunning beaches in the area, and each one was more breathtaking than the last. The convenience of having access to these beautiful beaches made our stay even more enjoyable.

Furthermore, the accessibility to other resorts in the area was a major plus. We were able to explore and experience different resorts nearby, taking advantage of their amenities and activities. It added a sense of adventure and allowed us to make the most of our time in Princeville/Hanalei.

Overall, I cannot recommend this vacation home enough. The location was unbeatable, with a wide range of amenities, easy access to shopping and dining, and proximity to stunning beaches and other resorts. It truly made our stay unforgettable.

We had a wonderful stay at this Princeville property. It was spacious, in a great location and had all the extras you need for a tropic vacation. The views from the master bedroom were incredible and we enjoyed walking trails and the beach within walking distance.

First off, we absolutely love working with Lucy and her team at Kauai Vacation Rentals and have been doing so for nearly a decade. We lived on island for some time and this home is in our favorite part of Princeville, so to have an affordable option to experience this space with incredible views, comfortable beds, and a well equipped home could not be better. 3 king beds allows a family to spread out or travel with other couples with ample room to spread out. Easy walk to Happy Talk Lounge and the beach below (Puu Poa), Hideaways, and the back door entrance into Princeville to avoid traffic. So quiet and the surrounding homes make you feel like you are staying in a botanical garden. Sunsets from the lanai are stunning as are watching the waterfalls, rainbows, and sunrise colors on the mountains. Could not have asked for a better stay. Thank you Lucy!

The villa is large, well equipped, comfortable in a quiet area of Princeville, ideally placed to visit the island of Kauai, especially the north.
Hanalei beach and shops are not far away. We had a great stay taking advantage of the very pleasant shared swimming pool.

Renting with Kauai Vacation Rentals was great, they were very accommodating to my multi-family group that included children, toddlers, and infants.
The home was great, in a perfect location. It was great to be able to use the pool/beach equipment, rather than renting or buying for the short trip.

The location is superb, with great space and layout of the home. Pool amenities within steps of the house. My only complaint would be the heat and lack of AC but they do provide ample amounts of fans. Some maintenance is needed around the home, side lanai sliding door doesn't lock, etc however overall we loved our stay here and would definitely book again. You cannot beat those sunsets from the lanai. Just magical.

It was designed to be our relaxing, no stress babymoon. We had a wonderful wonderful time in Kauai. We drove from one end of the island to the other going as far as the roads would allow. We lost count of the beaches that we visited. We found our favorites and went back over and over. Met wonderful people and had a lot of laughs. Each day returning home to Janets beautiful home. We are very appreciative of our time there.

Walk down to the beach each morning. Puu Poa vis steps or Hideaway beach via an interesting path. The home is a gateway to the North Shore experience.

It was amazing and perfect. My husband did fix the screen door and faucet handel. The faucet needs to be replaced soon. But the place was stocked perfectly for travelers.

We loved the neighborhood and the ease of walking/riding bikes everywhere. The house is spacious and warm, with lots of light. The upstairs Master suite and lanai are a DREAM! We watched the sunset overlooking Hanalei every night. The sounds of the ocean and the birds are a delight. All needed items are there for use; we enjoyed being close to the community pool and tennis courts too. Ramatici Ohana Hale is clean, well located on a private circle, and positively perfect in every way!

Loved the open space of the home.

The home has all the amenities we needed. It was nice to have fans, grill, laundry and loved having a pool next door. 

The upstairs lanai was amazing!

The home is beautifully decorated.

Me and my brothers stayed here for a siblings trip and it was awesome! So much space; it comfortably fit 4 grown men and could have fit a couple more. The neighborhood was very quiet and well kept. You're close to some of the nicer hotels and a lot of activities. Tons of beaches around. I highly recommend staying here!

What a beautiful house nestled in a gorgeous setting. We had a fantastic time riding bikes, going for scenic walks and of course heading to the beach while we were staying at the Ramatici Ohana Hale House. The house is huge with an absolutely priceless lanai overlooking Bali Hai where we enjoyed our Mai Tai's each evening. Everything you need to relax is here, just bring your bathing suit. We are already looking forward to our next vacation at this wonderful destination property.

We just finished staying a week at the Ramatici Ohana Hale in Princeville, and could not have had a better time. The house is absolutely beautiful both inside and out. The property is tucked into an exclusive neighborhood where the house is a shining star. Beautifully landscaped gardens where we enjoyed our coffee (Kona Blend) each morning as we listened to the island birds serenade us. We often took leisurely walk around the golf courses and trails easily reached right from the house. We extended our adventures each day to discover new and exciting destinations such as Hideaway Beach and the Princeville Community Center where we enjoyed a drop-in Yoga class. We planned to eat out more often, but with the well appointed kitchen and The Foodland grocery store so close by, we often ended up picking something up to BBQ on the backyard grill and just kick back “Island Style”. Upstairs is a lovely lanai that we enjoyed each afternoon with our Mai Tai’s . From there we enjoyed beautiful island vistas to include island palm and pine trees, and a nice view of Bali Hai. If you are looking for an island destination that has it all, this is definitely the place. I know we will be coming back next year.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Ramatici Ohana Hale in early June. The house was perfect and had everything we needed. It's located a short walk from hideaway beach (where we experienced great snorkeling) and literally right next door to the tennis courts and swimming pool (which was always empty when we went there). One evening we took some bikes and cycled the very short distance to the St. Regis for a few cocktails and to watch the sunset, which I'd definitely recommend. My favorite part of the house was definitely the Lanai. The views were just spectacular from there and as the wet bar is right beside it, it makes for the perfect place to sit out and have a few drinks after a long day on the beach. We will definitely be coming back.
