cottage getaway perfection!
We loved this little house. Very clean and comfortable. The walk ability is great. Only downside is all the mattresses could use an upgrade! Too hard for perfect comfort. But that’s a personal preference. Maybe some memory foam toppers could be on hand for us picky people.

great location
I stayed 1 week with my husband, daughter and granddaughter. This was a perfect location in Hanalei, a short walk to the beach and the town.
We ended up not renting a car and were able to go to the beach, restaurants, farmers market and buy groceries on foot. Loved the outdoor shower and the layout was very comfortable for the 4 of us.

hanalei
The house was very clean and the location was excellent. For as much as we paid I did expect a little bit more amenities. I definitely think they should invest in a dishwasher. But otherwise I completely understand that we are paying for the location. Location and cleanliness was excellent. Also we were very happy that we could do late checkout if we paid for half a day stay. Which was essential since we have two young kids and a red eye that day.

comfortable home, ideal location
An ideal home base for our North Shore vacation, this home allowed us to feel like we lived right in Hanalei. Super easy walk to the beach, even carrying all our gear. Walking to town for meals and shopping is even easier. We loved being on a quiet, residential street where we could get good sleep and have plenty of space all to ourselves. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. It felt like home for the time we were lucky enough to stay there. I would definitely stay there again!

wonderful stay in hanalei
We, a family of 4 adults, had a wonderful stay in this property in Hanalei.
The house fully lived up to our expectations, the rooms are nice and spacious, and it was absolutely spotless clean when we arrived.
The location close to both the beach and the town was perfect for us, and very peaceful except during working hours, where there was som noise from a building site to the back of the house. The noise didn’t bother us much, since we mostly were out and about in the daytime.
The kitchen amenities were good, the bathrooms were nice and clean, and the outdoor shower was great!
Overall we are very satisfied.

great location!
A charming little bungalow nestled on a cul-de-sac just steps from both the main drag of Lahaina and the beach. A little rustic, in that it has no A/C or dishwasher, but is otherwise neatly appointed. Having a carport is really nice.

great house at a great price! we loved it.
We loved the house. Amazing location: 2 blocks from town. 2 blocks from the beach. Immaculately clean. We had our coffee in the morning on the deck (you could smell the plumeria tree close by.) The outdoor shower (with hot water!) was a huge bonus! Washer/dryer came in handy. So did the beach chairs and umbrella. The house does not have AC, but that didn't bother us at all. We closed the drapes during the day and the evening ocean breezes kept us plenty cool over night. Will definitely book this house again. We loved it.

great home!
We loved staying here! This was our third time staying in a property managed by KVRE and they have all been well kept well managed. This home was in really good shape, the stove was newer than the photos and it was a really enjoyable home base for our week in Hanalei.

i relocated a rooster!
It's a nice area quite and close to the beach. But noise insolation was bad because of the jalousie type of windows. Overall experience (after the rooster was relocated) was good!!!

This was our second time at Puanani and it was just as great as the previous stay. The location is hard to beat, easy walk to everything, beach, shops and restaurants. We are already planning next year's trip.

perfect house for our family
The house was exactly what we needed. We never used the tv, so didn't have any issues with sound, which it seems like other visitors have had with the neighbors. The neighbor did ask for us to turn off a porch light but she was perfectly nice about it.

wonderful stay
Puanani is a great little house in a fantastic location just a couple of blocks off the Hanalei strip of shops and restaurants on a quiet cul de sac (save for the 5 AM roosters). It was perfect for our family of four (our adult children shared the room with twin beds, I and my wife slept in the master bedroom). The house has two bedrooms, two bathrooms indoors, plus an outdoor shower. The electric range was fine, even for a gas snob like myself, and there's a large gas grill. Outdoor table on the deck makes for pleasant meals. Washer/Dryer and 4 beach chairs and umbrella were on site, a nice bonus. No AC and no dishwasher, but we were never hot (in April temps peaked at around 80). If you are looking for luxury, Puanani is not for you. But if you are looking to live comfortably "like a local" for a few days in the best part of the island, I highly recommend.

best location in hanalei!
We absolutely loved our stay! The place was perfect for the two of us and had everything we needed. Fully stocked kitchen for cooking in, chairs and umbrella for the beach and a great outdoor shower. Easy stroll into town or to the beach. I might recommend some new furniture for the lanai but this place is still a gem! Can’t wait to come back!

charming and spacious home
We fell in love with Hale Puanani the moment we drove up to it. The grounds are beautiful and filled with exotic flowers. The inside feels like home from the first moment.
Hale Puanani was well equipped with everything we needed and more. We appreciated its comfort and old Hawaii decor. I chose it for its location so close to both town and the beach. My granddaughters explored both in safety and delight.

This home is located perfectly between Hanalei Bay and town. You can be at either location in a two minute walk. The house is a little rustic but was the perfect get away for myself and a friend. No need for a car with the proximity to all that Hanalei has to offer. I would stay here again.

heavenly puanani!
We loved this little house. Perfect vibe, and location, we absolutely cherished the garden. The furniture could be more comfortable, and it would have been nice to have shampoo and conditioner there when we arrived, but other than that, it was just PERFECT! The chickens will wake you up around 3,4,5,6, sometimes 1 am, but that's part of country living. This place is a GEM, and we will be back!! MAHALO!!

Had a wonderful time staying at Puanani. The house is not fancy, but it is perfect for Hanalei - beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, outdoor shower, geckos, beautiful flowers, and chickens. Excellent location - 2 blocks to beach, 2 blocks to "town".

hanalei escape
I was very happy with Kauai vacation rental staff. Everyone was kind and helpful and provided needed information. The house was a delight !It was very clean and had everything one would need. The cushions on the deck desperately need replacing- they were very uncomfortable as they were super thin and worn. I know there was caution given to being quiet for the neighbors but the neighbors are the noisy ones. The driveway is used as a turn around throughout the day. I could not figure out why so many cars coming to the end of the street and then turning into driveway. I would recommend a chain or rope across the driveway. Others before me have commented on this as well. They make a lot of noise turning on the gravel. Wondered if it is intentional.

Lovely little house in a great location. Easy walk to the beach and town. House has everything you would need and the big front porch just tops it off. Great place to just relax, read or happy hour. Definitely a place to return to.
