fabulous views at pu’u poa
We’ve been dealing with Kauai Vacation Rentals for years. We always get what we paid for. The condo is fantastic! This particular unit has beautiful views and is so roomy. We stayed here two years in a row. It is conveniently located to shopping , beaches and restaurants. We love Pu’u Poa.

beautiful home in a beautiful spot
This was such a beautiful home with an amazing view and so much great seating. There were so many spaces inside and out to enjoy.
The A/C worked very well, and the fans in each room were also helpful.
Communication with the host was great as well. We would definitely stay here again.
The only negative was a slight cleanliness issue. There were some crumbs left on the kitchen table cushions, the bath mats didn't look very clean, and there were some critters (a roach and the biggest centipedes we've ever seen!) that also stayed with us, so hopefully this can be remedied in the future.

Unbeatable views and location. Large comfy unit with the best views on the island. Have dinner and watch the sun set. Super comfortable unit with plenty of seating options for all. Well stocked and with very responsive hosts! Would stay again for sure.

amazing views!
We had a very good experience at this VRBO. We stayed here for the views and they didn't disappoint. Kitchen appliances were new, and I personally liked the furniture in the living room space. Main shower was also amazing. The unit is in need of some TLC and could have been a little cleaner, but overall we had a nice stay! It's also only a ~10 minute drive to Hanalei which we ended up doing 1-2x/day.

well maintained with best views on island. would do this again
You must stop at Kauai Vacation Rentals office in Lihue to pick up keys (and return them at departure), even though there is a lockbox on front door of condo.
Lots of parking.
ALL units in Puu Poa require going up or down steps to access them since the complex is built into a hill. For bottom-level units, you usually go down three 8-step flights.
Management responded positively and promptly to our request to address goose droppings on arcadia door landing.
Arcadia doors and window panels were all spotless.
This is a ground-level unit (at back), from which you can walk out onto grass and walk out to the cliff (only a dozen yards away). Thus, a little less privacy because neighbors walk along the cliff but that’s a small price to pay for incredible views.
This unit offers absolutely the best, and breathtaking, views of Bali Hai and Napali coast, especially impressive at sunset.
TVs and DVD players in living room & both bedrooms, & a selection of DVDs.
Wi-Fi was easy to access, reasonably fast (up to 120 mbps off-peak, about 50 when busy).
Several interior doors were split/peeling. Otherwise, facilities were in good condition.
Master shower was huge with great water flow from showerhead, but could use some grab bars. Bathroom exhaust fans a little noisy. One sink in master bath drained very slowly.
We also had a minor problem with bugs in the unit.
Kitchen: toaster oven (instead of toaster), lots of plates/silverware, cooking utensils, pots/pans, coffee maker, etc. Lots of knives, but sadly none of them sharp.
Lots of outlets/power strips for charging, etc. Most rooms have both ceiling fan and air handler. Remote controls were well-marked so it was clear which remote controlled which item. Air conditioners kept rooms comfortable and were not too noisy.
A few of the overhead cannister lights in kitchen flickered or went out.
We were disappointed we did not see recycling bins in the condo, or a re

incomparable view......breathtaking!
Absolutely as beautiful as pictures & description in listing. Exquisitely furnished & outfitted. Can watch both sunrise & sunset due to its unique placement. Truly magical.

great location!
This unit was ideally located for access to all the north shore has to offer not to mention Hideaway Beach that is walkable from the unit. More importantly, it is perfect to watch sunrise and sunset. Our family of 4 highly recommend this location and look forward to staying here again next time we are out.

Something was wrong with the septic system. there was a bad oder coming in from the drains in the second bathroom.
I think the cleanliness of the kitchen needs to be looked into. Thank you.

Ocean view, Bali Hai view, extra spacious and well-equipped condo; walk to 1 Hotel Hanalei, Hanalei Bay Resort. Close to shopping and Restaurants. Highly recommend!

absolutely incredible
Perfect space with the most incredible views. As the far ground floor corner unit, the sunsets are unreal. Added bonus the beach below the complex is one of the best on island and I go to Kauai often! It’s a ten minute walk to the 1 hotel which has amazing views and food. I will be back!

the fabulous condo in princeville
This condo exceeded our expectations. The view is even prettier than the photos, if you can imagine.The condo is very spacious and has a space for everyone to relax and chill. We went with boys in their mid 20's. We liked the Hawaian decor. The kitchen is totally complete. This condo is the end unit so has a large outdoor space. The whole place was quiet and we always had the pool to ourselves. Hideaways beach is around the corner and was our favorite beach on the North Shore. Highly recommend! We hope to go back.

excellent choice
Owners have thought of everything in furnishing a great vacation rental. Even though there were only three of us, there was plenty of room to totally be alone and relax. The view is terrific and the resident NeNe Geese Family were a delight to watch every day. Any issues that did come up were handled immediately and Kauai Vacation Rentals were super to work with. The only negative would be the amount of stairs leading to and from the unit, so if there are mobility issues, this is not for you as there are no elevators.

great stay yet again
Condo is very clean and furnishings are comfortable. Great location with great view. Owners keep it in excellent repair. Only watch out is the amount of stairs. Recommend but not suited to those who find stairs difficult.

amazing experience!
This was our best trip to Hawaii by far. Not only was the place clean, in a perfect location, had amazing views, had all the extra little things, but the rental company was very easy to communicate with. It was such an amazing Experience!

north shore beauty
This condo has an amazing view, more room than I ever expected and terrific amenities! The kitchen was well set up, the beach accessories were excellent, the pool warm, and the tennis court availability was nice. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly!

amazing vacation
First let me say that the views are insane from this unit and the walk to it from the car! From almost every window, there are gorgeous views - I knew they would be good, but WOW!! We heard that unit was larger than it looked in the photos - bingo! I think they need better photos - the whole place looked much better that the photos and SO much bigger! There were only 2 of us and wow did we have tons of room - it was great!
We heard that the decor was a little dated, but we found it fun and a bit kitchy. We especially loved the oversized sofa - it was like a large square with tons of pillows - I fell asleep there many times! Some other reviews said that the living room furniture was not super comfortable - we found it fine. Not amazing, but it was comfy enough to sleep on, lounge on, and have a great time on. We loved the cool chair with the overhang - super interesting!
A few things did need updating like the windows/screens - some were broken, or wouldn't open, or had ripped screens - not a huge deal to us - just could use updating.
The one negative for us was - we had booked this unit because it said it was on the first floor - I assumed that meant ground level... but we had to go down a couple short flights of stairs to get to the unit...plus from the parking, the sidewalk had a few steps... made it difficult with luggage (we had a lot) and we had planned on using a wagon to schlep things from the unit, but couldn't because of this. My sister has athsma, so this was tough for her... I wish that would have been made more clear, but again, we dealt with it and we could have asked more questions about this ahead of time, but we didn't.
No air conditioning - it was a tad warm when we'd get back late afternoon, but with so many overhead and standing fans - we were absolutely fine. We made sure to close the drapes during the day when the sun came in which helped a lot.
Overall - we loved the unit and would definit

condo with amazing views and the sounds of the waves
This condo was clean, well stocked and comfortable. The views of the sunset over the coast were amazing..the views out almost every window of the vast ocean were amazing.Nice complex with great pool. Kauai vacation rentals were very communicative, organized and helpful. Check in/ out process was easy. Great spot we will be returning to!

We have stayed many times at Pu'u Poa and each has been memorable hence our return visits. However, 112 was particularly enjoyable as it has one of the best views of Bali Hai and 180 degrees of ocean. We also enjoyed being on the lower level where we spent many evenings sitting (chairs provided) on the lawn watching the sunsets. If you are looking to relax and breathe this is the place.

an epic vacation
Unit 112 at Pu'u Poa was awesome. We loved the views, the grassy area, and being able to walk to Hideaway Beach. Will definitely stay there in the future.
