exactly what we needed!
My sister and I stayed in PK401 while my daughter & fam stayed in another PK unit. We all enjoyed the roominess of 401 when we ate in. Took advantage of the grills provided. Everyone loved the lush grounds and the pool area. Can't say enough good things about unit 401. Exceeded our expectations. An elevator would have been nice especially after the big grocery shop but other than that no complaints. The island is small enough that the location doesn't really matter bc you can easily be wherever you want to go in an hour or so. We enjoyed the luau at the sheraton 1.5 miles away and a Nepali dinner cruise 20 minutes away. Zip lining and plantation tubing were also fun outings. Appreciated the beach chairs and oversized beach towels provided for our enjoyment. Really appreciated the large comfy sofa after a long day out shopping. Overall PK401 will not disappoint!!

front row in paradise
A truly unique location with full views of the ocean and wonderful sunsets high atop an unassuming building with gardens and a secluded private pool. This penthouse unit has everything you need for a relaxing and most pleasant vacation home. All the amenities are there including a/c which you will rarely need given the constant breeze and in-unit washer/dryer. The patio extends along three sides of the unit providing sun or shade whenever desired. It was meticulously prepared for our arrival and management calls on occasion to make sure everything was to our liking. It’s convenient to the beach and a short walk to the outdoor mall in one direction and the Spouting Hole in the other. A short drive or walk to surrounding beaches and local dining spots. Most friendly neighbors as well.

prince kuhio 401
Lovely stay across the street from the beach. If you look to the left of the deck you have a great view of the ocean. Lively for sunrise and sunset to the right. There is a building right in front of the condo but we knew that going in since we have stayed at Prince Kuhio 2 times previously. Inside was perfect and loved the AC and washer/dryer. The whole rental process was easy. Would stay again.

perfection
Start your day with great sunrises on the east part of your private patio. Then explore the area and all the local shops and restaurants. You will find great food, above average gifts to take home and swimming locations for beginners and experienced swimmers. Finish the day on the spacious patio with friends and family enjoying the spectacular sunsets.
The penthouse interior provides an open concept where the living room, kitchen and dining area lets everyone be part of the fun when not on the patio. The fully equipped kitchen had everything to make great meals and a dishwasher to simplify cleanup. Full size washer and drier while on vacation is a game changer. You don’t have to pack so much and if you have kids, you know the value of having a washer available.
Be aware the older Jalousie/Louvre style windows do not seal well. It is great at night; but bad when the AC is needed. Closing the bath and bedroom doors will help.
I will definitely stay there again, its perfect.

The condo was roomy and loved the view and lanai. Wish the AC cooled the entire space better but would definitely stay there again!

perfect vacation home
Our penthouse condo 401 was perfect and exceeded our expectations, the location was absolutely perfect. I loved spending my mornings out on the lanai with a little mist of rain as I enjoyed my morning coffee.

just what we hoped for!!!
Was looking for an air conditioned beach view condo with two rooms and Prince Kuhio 401 fit the bill. The unit, while older has clearly been upgraded and modernized with everything my son and I needed for a wonderful 8 days in Poipu.
Having a working, quiet air conditioner really allowed us to enjoy our time in the unit (Kauai is not cool nor dry in June).
The property managers were great when notified of two relatively minor issues addressing them in a timely fashion.

a week in paradise
This condo was perfect and I would go again anytime but would stay longer. Super Clean. The patio had the best views all around. It was quite windy so we were unable to sit out there much. All the sliding doors to outside was perfect for airflow. Air conditioner worked well and unit was very functional. There is a need for a spatula as there was only a small one in the drawer. Also a rubber spatula, whisk, and a larger frying pan would be good. Scizzors need replaced. And darker drapes behind the couch are needed. Can't see the tv in the daytime due to the glare. GREAT: washer and dryer, lots of towels and washcloths, BEDS were amazingly was a comfortable, relaxing, chillout place to stay and we were not disappointed. Just very sad we had to leave. Thank you for your great communication and assistance with every little thing.

privacy, convenience & breathtaking views of sunrise & sunset
We have been to Kauai many times over 15 years and this penthouse was the best. Conveniently located in Poipu, just a walk across the street to beaches with our favorite snorkeling spots. Just a walk up the hill to stores, restaurants and gift shops. A wonderful, crystal clean pool on the property and the convenience of laundry in the penthouse made this location a one stop stay. Views of the Sunrise, Sunset, whales jumping out at sea; the sound of waves coming to shore to lull you to sleep each night, we have never found another condo that gave you all of this as Prince Kuhio 401 does. It also offers optimal privacy as you are on the top floor with your own lanai. We will be back next year!! Thank you, Pam for sharing your beautiful place.

perfect penthouse
Prince Kuhio 401 is a beautiful penthouse condo! We enjoyed the easy check in, then awoke to the beautiful sunrise over the ocean, easily viewed from the very large lanai. The lanai has lounge chairs, two tables each with four chairs, and a view of sunsets. Sunrise to sunset was gorgeous. The property has 2 boogie boards, beach chairs, with umbrellas and flippers available to use at any of the beaches close by. Kauai Vacation Rentals was easy to work with, and Pam the owner was the very best even letting us extend our stay as our return flight home was canceled. The beds in each bedroom are very comfortable. Both rooms have doors that open to the lanai. Living room is roomy and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you’ll need to cook or use the property BBQ’s. Everything was very clean and tastefully decorated. The location is an easy walk to restaurants, shopping, beach, and even the botanical garden. The property has lush greenery, blooming orchids and a nice pool area. Excellent choice for the Poipu area of Kauai.
