great rental & location
A wonderful rental—really has everything you need and the local beaches are in easy walking distance. Poipu is a very sweet town and it’s a good location for families with teens/young children as they can get around easily. Some beautiful hikes within close distance (the Heritage Trail was amazing) as well as easy local plazas with restaurants and cafes. Diving and snorkeling is also on this side of the island and is incredible. Turtles swim right up onto the beaches and are easy to find. Seasport Divers were excellent. It is good to know that this side is a bit more condo-focussed/touristy, whereas North Shore has a more local vibe. Either way, great place to stay and highly recommended.

perfect in kauai
The property sits on a hill and provides a beautiful view of the ocean, sunrises & sunsets. The Lanai is the PERFECT PLACE to sit and relax and enjoy the view of the ocean at any time of day. The house was extremely comfortable and roomy. Loved the garage at the end of the day to park and enter the house. The location also provided a perfect walk down to the ocean, beach and lovely park. We also really enjoyed watching the Green Turtles come out of the ocean to rest & sleep each night.

best vacation ever
We certainly had a great time at Poipu Ocean Vista.
Overall, it was a fantastic stay. The location was great- just 10 mins walk from Popu beach. Poipu beach is not only good for surfing, snorkeling, swimming but also has unique feature- every evening we saw about 30 turtles coming out and laid on a beach, very spectacular. The house was very clean and has everything is needed for cooking, and lot of stuff to use on a beach (chairs, umbrellas, etc). We got very clear directions and lot of useful tips on events and places to explore at Kauai. We definitely want to come back. Serguei and Natalia. P.S. I am surprised that you did not get message from us since I filled out at least2 surveys. Again, it was a great experience, thank you

comfortable bright, light great view and easy walking to beach!
Enjoyed to proximity to Poipu beaches so we could walk and not worry about driving and parking. Loved walking to the beach every day. Home was roomy, comfortable and kitchen easy for cooking. Beautiful gardens around home.

a wonderful location
This was a great home and worth the cost. You have complete privacy and it’s very quiet. Any issues were resolved quickly and without disruption. Tip: load your car in the garage and park on Nalo Road to get to Brennecke’s Beach. It’s a short walk from there. Don’t park on Hoone Road because we got a $50 parking ticket.

great view, 5 min walk to the water
Clean, tidy, very spacious, close to the water. Took us 5 minutes to walk to Poipu beach. Loved the beautiful wood furniture. My girlfriend liked the clean white design details. Would absolutely stay again.

july vacation
We had a great time. The home was perfect for us. The ocean views from the living room, kitchen and upstairs bedroom were spectacular. It was so nice to have all the beach amenities available. We would absolutely come back. The entire experience with Kauai Vacation Rentals was fantastic!

kauai paradise
The house is awesome in many ways, very high ceiling, clean, well stocked kitchen with very cute plates & platters, lots of laundry soap & dryer sheets, the furniture is comfortable, the down stairs bedroom has lovely furniture & is very spacious but the bed could use new sheets, water pours out the bottom of the iron & the shower has a broken shower head that squirts out of the handle that is held on by a clamp. The upstairs bedroom was very nice but some the furniture was a little warn. A windows blown making it cloudy in the dining area & it would have been nice if the decks & screens had been rinsed off & some of the screens come off the tracks because of dirt. The trash gets picked up on Thursday not Tuesday & the garage door is a real challenge to open & close inside & out, sometimes it took 13 tries. All & all we loved drinking Mia Tias on the deck & had great time.

really excellent house and stay
The house was as good, or better than expected. Big, bright. Air conditioner where we wanted it, in bedrooms. As we were only a couple we really never used the upstairs where there was another master bedroom. Good kitchen. If you want to walk to the beach which was close, there is a very steep walk to get to it although we didn't mind and I run miles a day so I liked running up and down but just realize that the hill is there. The people at Kauai Rentals were excellent. We called after hours to try to restore the cable tv service one night and a guy was so friendly and gracious to help us fix it although it was after hours. Any time I called the people were really really nice and helpful and I intend to use Kauai Vacation Rentals from now on. So overall really nice experience.

great place
Overall the rental was great. Beautiful home. Some minor issues in that the beach umbrella provided was completely broken. We replaced it while staying. Other issue included the blinds completely breaking off the wall when closing them causing an injury. Otherwise very close to ocean!

Unit is well located and well well stocked with kitchen necessities. The only demerits we would give is for the dinning room window having a blown seal and the downstairs shower faucet leaked like a sive.

an amazing spot in poipu
The house was great. Quiet neighborhood. Short walk to the beach. Amazing views and sunsets. The rental had everything we needed. Will love to come back and rent both for a huge family vacation.

gorgeous house close to everything
My family of 5 (husband, son, daughter in law, college aged son) loved our time in Poipu and this amazing house was the perfect home base for us. The house itself is open, airy and has amazing sunset views from both decks, it is well furnished and comfortable with high end linens, towels and kitchenware. We used the boogie boards and beach chairs, the high speed internet was helpful for some remote work a few family members had to do. Quick walk to Poipu Beach for sunsets, watching the turtles come up on shore every night. Most days there was a seal on the side of the beach snoozing away as well. Some of favorites in the area: hiking Waimea Canyon, helicopter ride around the island, golf at Poipu Bay Golf course, body surfing Shipwreck, snorkeling and turtle/seal watching at Poipu Beach. Puka Dog, Da Crack, and ‘Anake’s Juice bar for Açaí Bowls were family favorites. Highly recommend this house. It was perfection.
