Description

Near the edge of a bluff overlooking the ocean, this special condominium is a favorite with many guests who return each year. Comments in the guest book reflect how much they enjoy vacationing here in their "home away from home" and some have even said that this end unit is their favorite one-bedroom condominium on the north shore.

Hanalei Bay and Bali Hai, the landmark mountain made famous in "South Pacific," are among the awesome sights of the expansive ocean vista that guests enjoy here. A mirrored wall in the living room makes fabulous views visible from virtually every angle within the condo. Relax indoors or out on the lanai to take in the gorgeous scenery - boats sailing by, playful dolphins offshore and, in winter months, giant humpback whales. In the evenings, spectacular sunsets color the sky along Kauai's beautiful north shore.

A few steps away is the pool where guests can lounge and take a refreshing swim from time to time. Beach lovers appreciate the path which leads to sea level and a sandy beach. Plan a picnic here or just laze in the warm sun, relax and enjoy the views.

Top-of-the-line furnishings have been thoughtfully chosen for guests' comfort and convenience. The nicely appointed, fully furnished kitchen makes it easy to dine at home and, when you wish to dine out, there are many restaurants in Princeville and nearby Hanalei from which to choose.

Activities nearby include seasonal swimming, snorkeling, fishing, surfing, windsurfing, kayaking, hiking, horseback riding, flightseeing, shopping, tennis and golf.

The highlight of our stay was the breathtaking oceanfront view—especially the magical sunsets. The unit is located on the corner right next to the beach path, so we had a few neighbors passing by to enjoy the scenery, but it didn’t bother me. We also loved watching the local geese grazing on the lawn each day—it added a fun, natural touch.

The unit itself was clean and simple. While not the most modern, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The management team was friendly and responsive, which we really appreciated.

We also took advantage of the shuttle from Wakai Golf Club to Haena Park and had a wonderful 4-mile adventure. We attempted to swim at Ke’e Beach, but the low tide and rough waters made it tricky that day.

Overall, we had a great time and would definitely return to this same spot!

The views from this unit are exceptional. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets and numerous rainbows. the kitchen had very good quality cooking pans and nice dishes to use. Everything was very clean and well maintained. When we had a minor issue that we needed help with, the management took immediate action to resolve the problem. I would highly recommend renting this unit.

This was our second visit to the Pali Ke Kua. The spectacular views and top-rate property poised us for a great vacation. The hill-top location gave memorable vistas and gorgeous photos. I book this unit based on the location which is fantastic. Amazing sunsets and close to the path to the beach. The unit had everything we needed. The only slight negative was a few cockroaches and the 'tv' is really just a computer monitor.

Chose this rental based on the view, which was as advertised. Loved seeing the nene arrive on the lawn every afternoon - watching them interact was a surprising highlight of our stay!

No AC, most noticeable in the afternoon leading up to sunset, which unfortunately was usually when we returned to the unit after our day's activities. Had to close the shades to block out the sun, which kind of defeats the purpose of that gorgeous view during the afternoon hours. (Fans have nothing on the beating sun in August.) Also, people often hang out on the lawn to see the sunset, take photos, etc. This didn't bother us, but good to know if you are planning a stay.)

We let KVR know when we returned keys to the office that there were MANY dead bugs in the bathroom. Not a handful, but loads. Seems like there is an infestation in the wall or behind the vanity mirror. (I also emailed photos and a video, but did not hear back.) The shower window screen is not flush, so mosquitoes were able to get in. The TV is comically small, smaller than many computer monitors. While we are not visiting Kauai to watch TV, we did want to see the Olympics, and sometimes it's fun to put on a movie.

FYI PKK pool is quite small, and BBQing is not permitted on the property. (We saw many units with electric grills on the lanai, but not in 106.) One must walk down the rather steep path to the beach to grill! (We did not.)

We could not have asked for more. From booking the vacation rental unit over the phone with Kauai Vacation Rentals to watching the sunset from the lanai of this beautiful condo.The unit is fully stocked with everything you need and the information on the website is exactly what you get. Clean, well furnished and in a location that cannot be beaten. The kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors have been upgraded from the photos on the website and they look great.This is a perfect rental for a relaxing vacation in beautiful Princeville.

This unit has a fantastic view of the ocean and coastline. The sunsets every night are amazing. This was the first time we had stayed in a vacation rental and we will be doing this for all of our future vacations to Hawaii. Rental 106 was equipped with everything one needs and more. Very clean and well furnished. We really enjoyed our morning coffee listening to the ocean. Pick up and drop off of the keys was easy, only 5 minutes from the airport. The welcome bag and cooler was a nice touch, they were well used. Thank you for a great vacation in Princeville, Kauai.

We stayed here for one week and were happy with the experience. There is no air conditioning at this location and we could have used it a few days during that week. There are a number of fans available though. Everything else we needed was available. I couldn’t get used to the wicker furniture, seems a bit outdated. Small TV as well. The views were spectacular, and every night the sunset was right out the back sliding door.

Everything was exactly as advertised. Convenient from KVR right to the front door. Weather waa perfect and 106 had everything we needed. Daily highlight was the amazing sun sets that we viewed from the lounge chairs facing the horizon. Jsut a wonderful 14 days for a couple of 80+ Seniors!

We had a wonderful stay at Pali Ke Kua 106! The view and sunsets were unbeatable, and the property was so peaceful! We loved the private beach access just outside our door, and the condo was super well equipped for everything we needed (including a cooler, beach chairs, plenty of fans, etc). I was worried about no AC coming from the brutal heat in TX but it cooled off nicely every night and was only warm in the evening (but you can mitigate by closing the sun shades when you're away). We were very happy we chose to stay here and to return again some day!

Our condo was very comfortable. The view is delightful and spectacular at sunset. It is located at a peaceful location of the island so rest was easy. It was so nice to have beach chairs available. The improvement I would make is that it needed air conditioning. The fans weren’t enough.

My husband and I visited Kauai for our 25th wedding anniversary. The condo was clean and very comfortable. It was fully stocked with everything that was needed for cooking, etc. The beach chairs and towels were a plus. With the trade winds and fans in the condo, we never got hot. The bed was very comfortable as well. What we enjoyed most was the beautiful view of Bali Hai. We would definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at this location in January 2022. We watched the sunset at night from the Lanai and saw whales every evening. We enjoyed walking along the trail by the golf course and driving five minutes to Hanalei for shopping, dining and hanging out at the beach. What a great place!

We had a delightful time in Princeville despite the rain. We were still able to explore our favorite island. Enjoyed our stay, just about everything was about how we expected with the condo. The beach chairs and washer / dryer combo came in handy. Not condo related, but if you want to go out to dinner, be sure to make dinner reservations early. Also, the Hanalei construction should be accounted for. We had very little trouble getting over to Hanalei once we planned accordingly.

The condo 106 is small but perfect for a couple. Has everything you need (blender, beach towels & chairs, fabulous view!) We had a visit from the nenes every morning. A perfect week in paradise!

Absolutely loved this place, it exceeded our expectations. There is something about Kauai, Princeville especially, and maybe 106 in particular, that made us feel the aloha spirit. We were definitely "away from it all," and would return in a minute.

My husband and I had the most incredible experience. The view was stunning. The atmosphere was very quiet and peaceful. Each morning we would make coffee and breakfast in the unit and sit out on the back patio and whale watch. 106 was very well equip with all utensils and necessities for a week vacation. We found the management extremely easy to work with. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for a wonderful memory we won't forget! Hannah & David.

We stayed here for 3 nights and couldn’t have been more pleased with this property. The condo was clean and came furnished with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, coolers, chairs, and plenty of fans. We enjoyed opening the windows and letting the breeze hit us at night. The views were the best in town, sunset was amazing... front row seats. This was such an incredible place, we hope to be back!

Aloha! We had a fantastic stay at Pali Ke Kua 106. We found the complex well kept and quiet. The view from the lanai was out of this world. We slept really well and found the bed very comfortable. We were lulled to sleep every night by the sound of waves and woken up each morning by the sound of birds. Ahhh it was wonderful! The kitchen was well equipped, even sporting a George Foreman grill which was great as we found the jaunt down to the BBQ area too far for daily use. We enjoyed having the beach chairs for lazy days at the beach but would have liked to have a beach umbrella (we did buy an umbrella and leave at the condo). If we are lucky enough to have another trip to Princeville, we would stay again. Mahalo for an unforgettable 15 days!

We loved our time here and absolutely would stay here again. Kitchen was well equipped, bed was comfortable, views were outstanding. So sad to leave! But will be back.

Beautiful views and so quiet. We loved this property so much. We will definitely be back.
Overall fantastic.Great views, the beach is just down the hill on a very nice trail. Walking trails are all over and the place is stocked with all necessities. The process is great for getting here and the the app is extremely helpful for all parts of the stay. Highly recommended!!

The view of sunsets from our lanai is the best. Kitchen accommodations are nice. This is our 25th visit to Princeville. It is the best.
