our 4th time at pali ke kua and our best stay yet!
Loved our 4th time at Pali Ke Kua and unit 106. The views were spectacular as usual but the unit was probably the nicest one we have stayed in so far. The kitchen was mondernized, and rest of set up very comfortable. Had all the beach amenities needed for walking down to Hideaway for snorkeling. We cooked, had a friend family over one day, and enjoyed walking down to 1 Hanalei for fancy dinner and drinks as well as golf at Makai. Would absolutely book this unit again for next time.

outstanding view
While the view was fantastic, the condo is in serious need of updates. It was clean. A deep clean would possibly help. The shower, the kitchen appliances, the accordian doors, the wicker furniture, the silverware..... there needs to be new updates. Even just a couple of those items would perk it up. We had no issues with anything not working. Kauai Vacation Rentals are very easy to rent from. We still recommend this condo. That’s how great the view is! Just know what you are getting. A beautiful view and setting, a mostly clean space, with very basic amenities.

great option
I've in Pali Ke Kua before, so I have other units to compare this to. This wasn't my favorite but it was a great unit with lovely views. It is located right next to the path down the beach, so it wasn't as private as some units. The unit could use a little freshening up, but in general it was well stocked and had everything - beach chairs, well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, good linens. I lacked for nothing.

view condo march 12-15th, 2026
We were very happy with our location and view! Unobstructed view of the ocean in almost every direction. We came during a storm and felt so cozy just watching it all change right before our eyes. We did notice some discoloration/staining on the sofa cushions but luckily there was extra linens so we just threw a large flat sheet over the whole sofa. We appreciated the exercise weights in the bathroom closet however one set has visible mold all over them. Minor issues but overall a great stay!

Beyond our expectations. Located at the ocean’s edge with spectacular views and the constant crash of the wave, added to the magical experience.
The condo has all the conveniences of home. We just needed to bring our clothes, food and relaxing time for total enjoyment.

oceanfront views to come back for
The highlight of our stay was the breathtaking oceanfront view—especially the magical sunsets. The unit is located on the corner right next to the beach path, so we had a few neighbors passing by to enjoy the scenery, but it didn’t bother me. We also loved watching the local geese grazing on the lawn each day—it added a fun, natural touch.
The unit itself was clean and simple. While not the most modern, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The management team was friendly and responsive, which we really appreciated.
We also took advantage of the shuttle from Wakai Golf Club to Haena Park and had a wonderful 4-mile adventure. We attempted to swim at Ke’e Beach, but the low tide and rough waters made it tricky that day.
Overall, we had a great time and would definitely return to this same spot!

great stay
The views from this unit are exceptional. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets and numerous rainbows. the kitchen had very good quality cooking pans and nice dishes to use. Everything was very clean and well maintained. When we had a minor issue that we needed help with, the management took immediate action to resolve the problem. I would highly recommend renting this unit.

enjoyed our first time in downstairs unit
We had a lovely time! Quiet, clean, and almost the same view as when we stayed in PKK201. Nice to walk out the lanai onto the grass. Mahalo for the late checkout to facilitate our move to PKK112, though you might warn future tenants that the door code doesn't work after the normal checkout time. Fortunately, we noticed this while one of us was still in the condo! Also, the chaise lounge on the lanai is missing a key strap that keeps one's rear from sagging through.

beautiful property and location
This was our second visit to the Pali Ke Kua. The spectacular views and top-rate property poised us for a great vacation. The hill-top location gave memorable vistas and gorgeous photos. The sunsets relaxed and inspired us. The clean and well-kept property was in-order and conveniently located. Cannot wait to return.

nice unit
I book this unit based on the location which is fantastic. Amazing sunsets and close to the path to the beach. The unit had everything we needed. The only slight negative was a few cockroaches and the 'tv' is really just a computer monitor.

We could not have asked for more. From booking the vacation rental unit over the phone with Kauai Vacation Rentals to watching the sunset from the lanai of this beautiful condo.The unit is fully stocked with everything you need and the information on the website is exactly what you get. Clean, well furnished and in a location that cannot be beaten. The kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors have been upgraded from the photos on the website and they look great.This is a perfect rental for a relaxing vacation in beautiful Princeville.

We stayed here for one week and were happy with the experience. There is no air conditioning at this location and we could have used it a few days during that week. There are a number of fans available though. Everything else we needed was available. I couldn’t get used to the wicker furniture, seems a bit outdated. Small TV as well. The views were spectacular, and every night the sunset was right out the back sliding door.

two weeks in paradise
Everything was exactly as advertised. Convenient from KVR right to the front door. Weather waa perfect and 106 had everything we needed. Daily highlight was the amazing sun sets that we viewed from the lounge chairs facing the horizon. Jsut a wonderful 14 days for a couple of 80+ Seniors!

lovely condo, ideal setting!
We had a wonderful stay at Pali Ke Kua 106! The view and sunsets were unbeatable, and the property was so peaceful! We loved the private beach access just outside our door, and the condo was super well equipped for everything we needed (including a cooler, beach chairs, plenty of fans, etc). I was worried about no AC coming from the brutal heat in TX but it cooled off nicely every night and was only warm in the evening (but you can mitigate by closing the sun shades when you're away). We were very happy we chose to stay here and to return again some day!

a nice taste of paradise
Our condo was very comfortable. The view is delightful and spectacular at sunset. It is located at a peaceful location of the island so rest was easy. It was so nice to have beach chairs available. The improvement I would make is that it needed air conditioning. The fans weren’t enough.

wonderful stay in princeville!
We really enjoyed our stay at this location in January 2022. We watched the sunset at night from the Lanai and saw whales every evening. We enjoyed walking along the trail by the golf course and driving five minutes to Hanalei for shopping, dining and hanging out at the beach. What a great place!

december delight
We had a delightful time in Princeville despite the rain. We were still able to explore our favorite island. It was amazing to watch both sun and clouds from our postcard view in Pali Ke Kua 106 and we were often rewarded with a rainbow. This location and condo is a keeper. Thank you KauaiVacationRentals!

great stay, good location, spectacular view
Enjoyed our stay, just about everything was about how we expected with the condo. The beach chairs and washer / dryer combo came in handy. Not condo related, but if you want to go out to dinner, be sure to make dinner reservations early. Also, the Hanalei construction should be accounted for. We had very little trouble getting over to Hanalei once we planned accordingly.
