an absolute gem in kauai!
We had an incredible stay at Hululani and cannot recommend it enough. The property is gorgeous, impeccably maintained, and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need—from a fully stocked kitchen for cooking meals to all the gear necessary for enjoying the surrounding beaches.
The service throughout our stay was top-notch. The rental agency made the entire booking and check-in process seamless, and the onsite property manager (who stays right across the street) was wonderfully helpful, making us feel completely welcomed and comfortable from day one. A special shout-out to the housekeeping team—the wonderful lady who came for our mid-stay clean did an absolute stellar job and was such a pleasure to meet!

lovely home with the perfect view
Eight of us spent six lovely nights in Princeville this summer. It was our second time renting the house and couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The home is bigger than the pictures look and the views are more incredible. The kids (11-16) loved the pool & spa and the adults couldn’t get enough of the views of Hanalei Bay from the 2nd floor.
Kauai Vacation Rental company is quick to respond to questions / requests via text or phone calls. They really go out of their way to make sure you love your stay.
Couldn’t recommend this home more and hope to return again the next time we visit Kauai.

this house checked all of the boxes!!!
I have been to the north shore of Kauai five prior times. This by far is the best place that I have ever stayed at. The views were fantastic! The house is located in a peaceful, quiet, safe neighborhood. I arrived to an immaculate, clean home with upgraded kitchen appliances and every possible item that one would need to make wonderful meals. The owners have the home personally decorated with their own artwork. The pool is a salt water pool and was very gentle on the skin. The contact person, Thames, is great! He lives just across the street. The housekeeper, Monica, was also wonderful. Both have been with the owner for many years. Kauai Vacation Rentals was quick to respond and let me in before check in time, because I had groceries. I read several prior reviews where some people were not happy that you could not walk to the beach. You actually could, but it would be a very long walk. It is a short drive to all of the beaches that one would want to go to. I would like to point out that you are far better in a quiet house in this neighborhood, than you would be right on the beach. I am already in the process of booking another visit to this beautiful, special home.

fabulous hanalei home
We are already talking about our return trip to Hululani Estate. The home is spacious, well-equipped with every kitchen utensil and beach essential. The views of the ocean and mountains are spectacular. The staff at Kauai Vacation Rentals were extremely helpful. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

a great family stay at hululani
Our group of six adults and one toddler really enjoyed our stay at Hululani. The house is very large and clean and has wonderful views. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub and the pool.
We had never been to Kauai before so we did not know what to expect. The plan community of Princeville is a nice place to stay great walking paths and very centrally located to many beaches as well as restaurants and shopping.
We would love to go back again

a wonderful and private place
The house is beautiful and really well laid out for the family gathering we had. The pool is delightful and the sounds of birds intoxicating. There is a well fitted out kitchen. The property felt extremely private. Thames was an excellent ambassador for the neighborhood/island.

best place to stay on kauai!
My wife and I had an amazing time at this house! Gorgeous views, super clean, and very relaxing! The pool was great and it was so nice to wake up to that mountain/ocean view! Quiet neighborhood, too, and a great spot on the northside to get to beaches. We will definitely go back!

wonderful stay near hanalei
Hululani was the perfect place for a family vacation. The house was spotless and offered a lot of spaces for interacting while also providing privacy. The grounds were immaculate and had the most wonderful views. We would recommend this home and hope to visit it again in the future.

great location and house for our family
Amazing views and lovely property. House had everything we needed to cook our meals during our stay and bedroom layout was great for three couples and two boys (5 and 6). We all enjoyed hanging out by the pool and swimming almost every day. We had a few hiccups on arrival, but rental company and property manager Thames took care of them swiftly. House looks just like photos in listing. Favorite beach was Anini at the far end passed the campground area. Highly recommend a visit to nearby town Hanalei for shopping, good eats, and a stop at Pinks for ice cream. The beach there is also a great swimming beach. We really enjoyed our stay in Kauai at Hululani.

a piece of paradise!
What an incredible place to spend 9 days with our family. It truly was the most majestic view one could dream of. It was the epitome of Kauai with true serenity, peace, and breathtaking views.
The home was a dream place to stay with every need cared for. The attention to detail was over the top. It was the perfect place to relax with the family hanging out at the pool. Even the views from the bedrooms were incredible.
We could not have asked for a better trip. And this lovely home made it a place of peace and joy. We love Kauai and would be honored to stay in this lovely home the next time we are in Kauai.

magically
A wonderful but too short of stay. It was the perfect house for three couples and a strangler. The view of puff the Magic Dragon, magically and I admit I did not want to leave the property.

breathtaking views!
Our family of 6 adults enjoyed this beautiful luxury home. Situated in the residential Princeville area made it perfect for walking and accessible to nearby resorts and beach. The kitchen was extremely well appointed, same for bathrooms, beach towels, games, movies. Very pleased with the check-in process. Must give shout out to property manager Thames!! You are the best!

a family stay at hululani in princeville for 14 days
A very welcoming, exceptionally well-equipped house, secluded on a cul de sac, with fine views, a good swimming pool, spa and gas grill. Not the most modern and you have to drive (short drives!) to beaches, but highly recommended.

ideal to relax & unwind
The house was stocked with everything you need to cook/BBQ and enjoy the view out back by the pool. Highly recommended for two families getting together with tons of room for the kids to play and explore. princeville gem
Our crew of 8 with 4 kids had a great time at Hululani. The layout of the house made it never feel crowded with 2 families. It has all the amenities you need if you plan to cook at the house along with a tons of beach supplies in the garage. The pool in the back of the house with tremendous views of the mountains behind Hanalei cannot be beat.

a wonderful experience
We were well taken care of. Our property manager was proactive, clear, and always responded to my inquiries promptly. The house looked like its pictures. The beds were comfortable, the place was clean. There was some minor problem with hot water on one side of the house.
The view from the back yard is, indeed, spectacular. We loved watching the sunset each night.
Princeville and Hanalei are close by, but a car is absolutely necessary.

top choice stay!
This was our 2nd stay at Hululani. We usually prefer to try new places, but we loved Hululani so much our previous stay, it was our top choice for returning!
The home is clean, spacious & easily fit our group with 3 en-suite bedrooms for the adults & 1 large bedroom for the kids to share. The large kitchen & BBQ area are perfect for meals at home, the house is well-stocked with everything you need. Having an extra fridge in the garage & an outdoor shower to wash off sand was SO handy!!
The pool area is fantastic with stunning landscaping & gorgeous views! The upstairs lanai’s & living room have amazing sunset views! This house is a perfect home base!
My only recommendation is to convert the door locks to key pads so that the need to stop by & pick up / drop off keys is eliminated.

hululani heaven!
We absolutely loved this beautiful estate! The home is lovely, plenty of room for our family of 8 to spread out and relax! Beautiful pool and hot tub and the property is lovely! Waking up to that view every morning was so special! So convenient to beaches, restaurants, shopping and more! Played lots of ping pong and bocce ball. Kitchen was very well equipped and lots of beach equipment! We would love to come back! Thank you!

our favorite vacation rental
We have been lucky enough to rent Hululani multiple times and each time has been wonderful. Most definitely our favorite vacation rental. Perfect for a family reunion and is just a very special home. Too many amenities to list and if there are any problems, Thames is a great property manager. Have been renting from KVR for decades and always appreciate their help and aloha hospitality.

beyond what we could imagine!
The property management group was beyond responsive and accommodating to us and the airline changing flight times for our arrival AND departure. The house was beyond the description and the grounds were exceptional. There was six of us staying there and we commented we felt we had room for double that. Fresh lemons, coconuts, avocados, papayas and oranges to pick right in the yard! The pool and hot tub were perfect and the water gardens, grounds and lawn were perfectly maintained. The "rule book" for the home is pretty detailed. You could get caught up in the details but if you basically treat the home as you would your own, all will be well. The property managers next door checked in with us, were responsive to any need and even brought us fresh avocados from their yard. The big bonus was the beach equipment of umbrellas, chairs, snorkels and wake boards all there for our use. Perfect home for us, we plan to return!

great spot with amazing views, but flawed
Great house and lovely gardens with an incredible mountain view. Nice kitchen and bedrooms and very comfortable.
But as a "luxury estate" things were lacking.
Property manager (not KVR) was unresponsive to requests and the house is showing age as things were broken or not usable. Hot tub out for the whole stay, A/C was sporadic and kept having an error, and when we opened windows a number of screens blew out and flew away! Internet was not strong enough for multiple people doing remote work/school and did not work at all in farther away master suite.
Overall however we really liked sitting outside and had a very nice time, would have been 5 star if issues could have been rectified. Pool is mighty cold in April and was counting on hot tub!

gorgeous view and a home to match
This house is by far the most stunning home I've ever stayed. Views of Bali Hai from every room. Rainbows and waterfalls, gorgeous landscaping, a fabulous pool and private hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked with all necessary amenities. They even provided a citrus juicer to make fresh squeezed orange and grapefruit juice. A dream come true!
