Description

The Beach Place Duplex -- for people who love the ocean and beaches. Rent the main floor of this beautiful home in sunny Poipu Beach. It is across the street, just 100 feet, to Brennecke's Beach, a popular body surfing beach. Poipu Beach Park, a great family-friendly beach, is next to Brennecke's Beach and has a life guard. There is a protected part of the beach that's great for snorkeling and beginning swimmers.

Watch the dolphins and sea turtles from your own garden terrace or take a three-minute walk to the ocean to some of the best swimming and snorkeling on Kauai. During the winter months, you may see humpback whales playing off shore. That's an awesome sight!

There are a number of excellent restaurants nearby and several are close enough to walk to. If you feel like dining at home, you may want to check out Kauai's Sunshine Markets for fresh produce to go with your favorite entree. Maybe you'd like to grill some fresh island fish on the barbecue . . . lots to choose from.

Activities nearby: Seasonal swimming, snorkeling, surfing, scuba diving, horseback riding, botanical garden tours, sightseeing, shopping and tennis. Two championship golf courses, Kiahuna Golf Club and Poipu Bay Resort Course, both designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., are within a mile.

The Beach Place Duplex across from Brennecke Beach is a fantastic rental for 2-4 people. The 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bath s are super comfortable and the kitchen, living room and shaded lanai are great. We love being able to walk right across the road to enjoy the ocean and then stroll back and refresh ourselves in the outdoor shower. All that plus great walks, Poipu Beack and lots more ALOHA.

We absolutely loved our stay at the duplex. The location and proximity to Poipu beach cannot be beat. The property was perfect for the two of us and our small toddler. Grounds were well maintained and the outdoor shower was a special treat. We would absolutely stay here again.

The accommodation was clean, very well stocked and perfectly comfortable. The house was price and fell safe despite its being mere steps away from delightful beaches, surf, turtles, Monk Seals, Puka Dogs and so much more.
We were able to enjoy the outdoors without leaving the property by simply spreading out onto a serene grassy space surrounded by beautiful foliage as well as large patio. We even had the pleasure of meeting the enchanting owner and were fed the most delicious Apple Bananas.

Yet another wonderful stay at the Beach Place Duplex, the very best rental option on Kauai, in our opinion! Prime location in sunny Poipu, directly across the road from the ocean and Brennekke Beach, with lifeguarded,kid-and-adult-friendly Poipu Beach just a few more steps away. We loved going to sleep to the sound of the waves, hanging out on the lanai, and the freedom to go back and forth between the ocean and refreshing outdoor shower. This year we had the 2 bedrooms to ourselves, but it’s also a great place to invite family and friends to join us. We booked our stay for next year before going home. Mahalo BPD!

The Beach Place Duplex was once again (7 years running) delightful. 40 paces to 77 degree Brennecke's Beach, all equipped, all functional. The owners (above unit) delightful and with good current food recommendations. Unbeatable.

We spent a wonderful 11 days at the Beach Place Duplex. You cannot find a better location just across the street from a sandy beach (great for boogie boarding!). The duplex was fully stocked with supplies and we wanted for nothing in the kitchen when cooking. It is a beautiful property that includes a very cool outdoor shower for when you return from your day at the beach. We'd definitely stay at this location again without a doubt!

Absolutely perfect vibes for a Hawaiian vacation here with our family. Our 3 year old could walk with us to the beaches across the street, play on the playground, see the sea turtles, swim in the kid-friendly Poipu bay beach, walk down the resort pathway all the way to the Hyatt... And we were close driving distance to plenty of food, shopping and other activities.

The home had all of the amenities we needed including cooking utensils, dishwasher, 2 bedrooms, clean bathrooms, laundry in unit, tons of towels, board games, beach chairs, and an outdoor shower that we enjoyed using each day.

The weather is perfect, even without AC we quickly got used to the warm nights and used the ceiling fans to keep the temperature comfortable while we slept. 10/10 will come back to stay here again.

Great, convenient, spot for our two week stay. We have already recommended this place to friends who have now booked it. Kauai Vacation Rentals was responsive and friendly at every turn. They even brought a new umbrella that day when we wrote to let them know of things we saw that were damaged upon checkin (just the umbrella, everything else was good).

Only suggestion on the property might be a new mattress in the main bedroom and some new pans. Otherwise this place was a great beach rental and we will plan to be back in late 2024.

I have two young kids and this was the perfect location being right across the street from Brennecke's beach and a few minute walk to Poipu Beach. Loved falling asleep at night to the sound of the ocean waves. We would rent this place again if/when we come back to Kauai.

This was our second stay here. Everything was great, but I think it's time to replace the beds. The twin beds were very uncomfortable, making it tough for our kids to get a good nights sleep. The master wasn't as bad, but not great.

The Beach Place Duplex on the South side of Kauai is a comfortable and spacious rental just steps away from Poipu and Brennekke beaches. We’ve been coming here for over 30 years and as always enjoyed watching the beauty and listening to the sound of the waves from the lanai and/or the 2 bedrooms, playing in the surf and rinsing off in the outdoor shower, cooking in the kitchen or on the BBQ grill, and lots more. We’re already looking forward to our next visit in 2024. MAHALO!

My husband, stepdaughter and I rented this home for a week over Thanksgiving. I can't say enough good things about it - The home was spotless when we arrived and the location could not be beat. The beach is steps away! We had a great time walking to the beach and restraurants, plus the kitchen had everything we needed when we decided to cook a couple of meals.

Kauai Vacation Rentals was excellent to work with. We had an internet issue one day, and they helped me find the modem/router and waited on the line as I rebooted it, just to make sure we were good to go.
The owners live upstairs, and were away on a trip most of the time we were there, but we did get to meet one of them and he was awesome. Full of great recommendations for things to do in the area.

All in all, I honestly would not change anything abou this rental and we are crossing our fingers to be able to visit Kauai and rent this property again.

The location of this rental could not have been any better! This house is literally steps from the beach. There is no AC, but even in the middle of summer, it was not a real issue. We are looking forward to coming back year after year.

My son and I rented Beach Place Duplex for 5 nights and we wish we could have stayed a month. The location is outstanding...literally across the street from the beach. The duplex is wonderful & don't let the lack of air conditioning deter you from renting because it is very comfortable with the cross breezes. The duplex is airy, light and large with so many wonderful extras like a washer and dryer, beach accessories (towels, chairs, coolers, umbrella), an outdoor shower and a beautifully landscaped backyard. We walked to Kalapaki Joe's 3 nights in a row for drinks, dinner and entertainment. The service and food are excellent in this open-air restaurant.

The indoor space was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed. The outdoor space was a real surprise, a beautiful garden with lots of birds, outdoor dining and seating, and literally steps from Brenneckes beach at Poipu. Beautiful sunsets, a monk seal sighting(!!), quiet night with soothing sounds of the was a restorative place and a convenient launching point for all of our adventures. As a first visit to Kauai, we don't have anything to compare. BUT we would come back to this propery in a heartbeat. Mahalo!

Best location ever. Had everything we needed. The Owner was super nice, helpful with local recommendations and brought us fresh Tahatian limes and apple banannas! We could always hear the ocean and from the view in the master bedroom I could watch the waves as I fell asleep.

Spotless upon arrival. Easy access and directions. Except for some exploring in car, spent most of the time watching turtles, monk seals, and heavy influx of tourists in Poipu area. Water lovely, so so surf (as compared to pre hurricane times) and only 30-40 steps to Brennecke's Beach. Can't say enough of help Kauai Vacation Rentals gave us for a plumbing leak on refrigerator. Good vacation and will return.

What an amazing stay and what incredible hosts! We were received with so much welcome at our place and island. Within 10 steps you will be on one of the best boogie boarding beaches I've ever been to. Would highly recommend for a family and friends.

Wonderful, light, airy, cool rental right across the road from a popular beach. Excellent location for quick beach access and a lovely garden to enjoy meals on the patio. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner which is always enjoyable and very useful in getting local information, not too mention being very generous in sharing limes from the local tree. Hard to beat if you are in the Poipu area and want an alternative to the hotel and generic condo experience. Indoor shower needs a little attention as water sprayed over into main bathroom area but we used the outdoor tropical shower to maximum effect which was wonderful.

We were so pleased with this property. The location is exceptional. It’s directly across the street from the beach and the sound of the surf is constant and soothing. We felt very fortunate to have found this gem. Like many of the other people who’ve stayed there through the years, we’re already planning on “next time”.

I chose this cottage for my daughter and son-in-law with their brand new baby boy to use as their haven, as we were renting the home down the street - the Waiohai Beach House - for an extended family celebration of our patriarch's 70th Birthday. The property was perfect for their little family, and allowed them some peace and quiet away from the party crowd down the street. They loved the ocean view from the lanai, the proximity to restaurants - especially Brenneke's Beach Broiler, where they took several meals, and the fact that they could walk the baby around locally to some beautiful beaches for some spectacular scenery along the way.

The Kauai Vacation Rentals team went above and beyond to ensure their stay was perfect. Especially Vicki, who brought another fan over to the house and dropped it off. Vicki was amazing!

They loved every moment of their first Kauai vacation with their new baby boy. Thank you - we highly recommend the Beach Place.

Wonderful rental just steps from the ocean.

Spacious and light with a lush yard and patio overlooking the ocean.

Beautiful house with beautiful landscaping. Enjoyed many evenings on the lanai listening to the waves! The beach and beach park are literally steps away!!!

The location can’t be beat for riding the waves just a few steps out the door. Also snorkeling spots to walk to. Lovely garden and interior was super clean and fresh. Listening to the crash of waves at night was relaxing and greeting the turtles with morning coffee was epic.

We loved our stay here. The place was clean and had everything we needed. We loved the beautiful yard and had dinner out on the lanai every night. Loved being able to just walk out through the yard and across the street to the beach. Went boogie boarding at Brennecke's every morning and then snorkeling at Poipu Beach before the crowds came. Quick walk back to the property for lunch and out for afternoon adventures. Came home in the evening and walked across the street to catch a few more waves before using the fabulous outdoor shower. My kids loved saying, "mom, we're going across the street to the beach." It was just such a great location that really made it such a relaxing stay for us! Mahalo for sharing this beautiful property!

Close to the beach, loved the outdoor shower, family friendly. We visited last year and loved it so much we decided to come back and we will definitely be back again!

It was relaxing,we enjoyed grilling, boogie boarding, eating,snorkling and swimming with turtles. It is across the street from the amazing boogie board beach. Loved the outdoor shower and the beautiful yard and patio.

We would go back anytime! Good location. Brenneke beach is wonderfull and with the car it's easy to go anywhere, east,west or north of the island. Everything you need is in the house,it's very convenient. We loved it!
