We enjoyed our stay here. Loved having an ocean view and the close distance to Poipu beach. There’s no a/c but having ceiling fans in all the rooms helped and there was a great ocean breeze flowing through the condo. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a few light meals during our stay. I would definitely stay here again!

Did research and came upon Sunset Kahili; it was like finding a hidden treasure! Perfect location, amazing ocean views, clean, great layout, and very comfortable with competitive pricing. Highly recommend, we will definitely go back!

We had a great time at Sunset Kahili. Our condo 408 had a gorgeous deck, with new patio furniture and a fabulous ocean view from the main bedroom and living area.You can walk to a fabulous beach or just at relax in the pool.

We thought the experience was rewarding and pleasant. Location was great - view of the ocean - would have been nice to know no air conditioning but breezes were cooling - parking numbers were hard to read in the dark and worn off - got painted while we were there - loading carts were there but needed to ask another resident if they existed - again nice to know - location to beaches and amenities was wonderful - tour books in the unit very helpful - also towels, beach gear, etc. Ice maker needs help - freezer frosts and ice sticks together. Loved the balcony and lived out there!

Perfect location and great place! It had amazing views and we were able to walk to the beach. Close to a few great food options. The place itself was well kept and well stocked with towels and beach equipment. Driveway was a little steep, so be careful and go slow if you rent a low car as you can scrape the bottom on the way out. Would definitely rent again!

Our family of four stayed at this condo for a week and we really enjoyed our stay. The view of the ocean is breathtaking. We saw whales and dolphins from the deck and enjoyed gorgeous sunsets each evening. The location was great for walking into town and beaches nearby. We loved Poipu and would definitely stay at this condo again.

Sunset Kahili is our favorite spot to stay on Kauai. Stepping out on to the balcony always makes us smile! Management was helpful in solving problems (while we were enroute, the unit above had leaked water into the kitchen, and they immediately took care of it), and the assigned parking space was the very best! That said, the unit itself needs some help. The kitchen and armoire in bedroom had strong musty order. Very limited storeage in unit. Bathroom and room rugs were stained. LR furniture was adequate for the 4 of us (adults), and a comfortable table worked well for card games, etc. Overall we'd love to see some improvments, but we'll be back!

The amazing sunrise each morning from the lanai, magnificent sunsets each evening make it even more comfortable every day. The kitchen provides all needed to make snacks, coffee, or meals.
The building location is great for beaches, long walks, restaurants, and stores. The beautiful “Garden Island of Kauai” offers many hiking opportunities, plus many, many tours throughout the Island. Great for families, couples, plus anyone wanting serenity and joy.

location was awesome as always. general condition of unit was poor.I understand with living by the ocean maintenance is higher but there were things that could have been addresses that weren’t. The bedspread in the main bedroom was badly stained, the foam on the king side bed was literally breaking apart and we had to remove it completely. We did inform the manager Vicki that we had done so as well. The handle to flush the toilet in main BR kept falling off on the inside and we informed the plumber when he was there of the situation and he did say it would have to be replaced. It didn’t happen while we were there though. I realize the deck was breaking down due to weather but it should have at least been swept off so pieces of concrete weren't’ being brought into the unit. We have visited the beautiful Island of Kauai since 1999 and have enjoyed our stays. The costs now are so high that when you pay as much as we did for 16 nights it was very disappointing. Also the rugs desperately need cleaning. It also would have been nice to have had a clean mat for the shower. I will add the manager who maintained the grounds themselves was excellent. thank you for inquiring.

I have been here - Sunset Kahili - many times with my dear wife... who passed last year. In her memory, my cousin is my travel companion to help me let go. I also wanted this trip to be filled with memories shared with her on her first visit here.
Condo just fine. However the lift arm in the master toilet must be replaced by a new sturdy one. (We had to lift the tank lid and manually pull up the flapper valve each time we needed to flush that toilet.)

This unit is an impeccably-maintained home-away-from-home. Absolutely stunning, and it's just a short walk to the beach and resting turtles. We LOVED every moment.

This condo was perfect for our family of four. Easy walk to the beach, lovely balcony for dinners and watching the sunset. Well appointed corner unit condo. We hope to return again in the future.

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay here. It's a walking distance to the beach and restaurants, and it has a full kitchen and any extras we needed (beach chairs, towels, etc.). The only suggestion would be to replace the mattresses in the second (smaller) bedroom as they were not comfortable and the sink in the master bedroom seemed plugged up (it took some time for the water to go down). Otherwise, great place!

The suite was very well set up with pretty much everything one could think of on hand. Nice and open and well decorated. Great views with full on sunset.
Only issue was the construction right next door, first two days was not stop jack hammers, could not stay in the unit until work was done for the day. After that is was distracting but not as bad. We were told we could ask for compensation but given that we had been given an upgrade and early check in, we are good with it all. Once the renovations are complete, we would highly recomend.

Lots of rain. Pillows too hard on king bed. Garbage disposal left foul odor.

This older property was ideally situated to watch beautiful sunsets and the action at Brennecke Beach. We even saw dolphins from the balcony. There were adequate dishes & supplies to start with and is was clean. Unfortunately, there is work to be done inside. During our month stay, the 6 month old dishwasher did not work, one stained glass cabinet door(rental picture)fell off, the side window leaked leaving huge puddles on the floor to be mopped up, the window screen in the small bath fell out twice into the bathtub and that bath has a huge "band-aid" on its ceiling to cover up an apparent leak issue. The Kauai Vacation Rental company was very good about communication, both before & during our stay. Unfortunately, these issues need a long term solution, some of which will be resolved when new windows are put in. When things are fixed, it will be a good choice for vacationers.
