The location of this apartment is good. Close to beach activities and to supermarkets, restaurants, etc. You will need a vehicle to reach most locations. The view from the lanai is lovely for sunsets and ocean viewing (outside of the parking lot that is just below it). The furnishings and kitchen are dated but the bed was comfortable. The snorkeling gear and bag it was in do not work (leak and bag handles broke off). They could use a replacement. Otherwise the place was ample for our stay for the price we paid.

The condo was lovely, quiet and clean. I was able to see humpback whales, turtles, and dolphins from the lanai, and the condo is a short walk from Poipu beach.

Nice unit in an older complex. Very clean, well appointed. Minutes (walking distance) from Poipu Beach, views of the ocean and the sound of ocean waves lull you to sleep. Would definitely stay here again, and hope to!

Top notch! Outstanding! Spacious! The condo had everything you could possibly need for cooking, eating, doing laundry & going to the beach. All we needed was food.
The location is excellent. The pool was warm & cleaned daily. The condo had two ceiling fans plus 2 floor fans - which we used. The only minor drawback is that this condo faces straight west - so the afternoon sun can get quite hot & intense for sitting on the lanai.

The view from the lanai was outstanding and we enjoyed our coffee there in the mornings and a sundowner in the evening. The condo itself was fine but starting to show its age. We were not a fan of the no air conditioning and had difficulty sleeping because of the lack of a cool bedroom. We were unable to use the laundry facilities because the dryer was not vented to the outside and quickly made the condo unbearable. I would not rent this condo again.

My husband and I had visited Sunset Kahili several times before using KVR, including unit 403 (pre-renovation). This is a great unit--the location is fantastic; the renovation updated the kitchen and bath; the bed is comfortable; the building is quiet. And KVR is very professional.

The room was somewhat dated, but not bad. The bed was quite comfortable. Kitchen was well appointed. Location was great, and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony to watch the beaches and sunsets.
We did however have frustrations with the beach equipment they said was available. The lawn chairs were both broken and couldn’t be used. The umbrella was broken in one spot. We used it once and gave up. The chairs were ridiculous, and we bought our own at Walmart.

Incredible place to stay! Only took 5-10 minutes walk through pretty, peaceful neighborhood to get down to Poipu Park. Watching the turtles constantly swimming by in the waves right out your window is so special! Condo is older and sound does carry throughout the complex, but the view more than makes up for it. Furnishings are older but had newly renovated bath, very comfortable bed and everything we needed including lots of beach stuff. Definitely want to stay here again! Rental company was great! Answered questions quickly ahead of time and offered to arrange early check in when they found out our flight came in the morning.

Overall the place was fine. The entry door lock is difficult to use. We used the deadbolt. The bathroom sink drains slowly. The shower door won’t close all the way. And overall the place is kind of drab compared to other units we’ve stayed in at SK It lacks color and the fake flowers don’t help. We’ve stayed in several units at SK and this was the least attractive but everything work as it should with the exceptions noted and we would stay there again if there was no better choice. We like SK for the beautiful view and reasonable price. The buildings general maintenance is always good.

We snagged this condo on 4 days notice prior to arriving on Kauai, thanks to the wonderful Lisa for making this happen!! The condo is fantastic, everything you need is provided for. The views are magnificent! When staying in Poipu, this is where we will be staying! The condo was spotless too with enough essentials to get you up and running. I really enjoyed sitting out on the lanai both in the morning and evening.

We have been coming to KAUAI every summer for the last five or six summers and we always stay in unit 403 at the Sunset Kahili. It is just sublime. We sit out on the balcony with our coffee every morning and watch the dolphins and turtles swim by. You could not ask for a better view of the Poipu coastline. Everything about the unit is updated and perfect - from the fully appointed kitchen to the recently renovated walk in shower, Sunset Kahili is our home away from home. You will not be disappointed with this location. I love falling asleep to the sounds of waves crashing! Perfectly situated between Shipwreck and Brennecke Beach, we enjoy walking to restaurants or happy hour to enjoy the nightly sunset. On days we feel a bit more lazy, we barbecue fresh fish at the Sunset Kahili grill and enjoy an outdoor dinner at the picnic tables. You could even see the blow hole shooting geysers into the air if you really squint! We will be back next year.

Very clean, very nicely decorated and lovely location. Fantastic view of the ocean and greatly enjoyed watching all the dolphins and turtles from our lanai. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean...wonderful. A very well kept place. Will go there again and highly recommend it. Loved all the little extras which were so welcoming.

We stayed in #403 for 2 weeks in June of 2012. Amazing, totally amazing views! From our lanai we could watch the turtles and just a short walk to a fabulous beach. Fully appointed, this condo has it all. Even the bed was comfy. Saw a few ants but we've seen a lot worse in other places we've stayed...just keep the counters clean and put leftovers in the fridge! KVR is great to work with, very professional and well, just made our first trip to Kauai incredible!

Located in the heart of Sunny Poipu, Sunset Kahili 403 affords a breathtaking panoramic view of the ocean. This fourth floor condo is completely refurbished and smarty decorated, with all of the comforts of home. The bedroom, with a cal-king bed and full en-suite can be separated by a sliding privacy screen. The remodeled kitchen is fully equipped with attention to detail and is lovely and convenient for the preparation of meals.
Brennecke’s is just a short walk down the hill and is adjacent to Poipu State Park where you can snorkel, surf and enjoy the sun. There is also a life guard, shallow area for the little ones, picnic tables, restrooms and showers. Other nearby activities include: golfing, botanical gardens, fishing, horseback riding, and much more! There are a variety of restaurants that are within walking distance from the condo.
Or, if you just want to relax from your private lanai, you can watch for sea turtles, dolphins and the seasonal humpback whale. Also, you can view spectacular sunsets.
For days you feel like staying close to home, you can always lounge by the swimming pool and take a refreshing dip whenever you please. Regardless of how you choose to spend your time on Kauai, there is a very good chance you will want to return.
