Koke'e State Park is located just north of Waimea Canyon State Park. Hikers can enjoy the lush, native vegetation, native birds, and views of Kalalau Valley below. Koke'e State Park is made up of seven major trails - Alakai Swamp Trail, Awaʻawapuhi Trail, Kawaikoi Stream Trail, Nuʻalolo Cliffs Trail, Nuʻalolo Trail, Pihea Trail, and Poomau Canyon Lookout Trail. Hikers can also find the Koke'e Natural History Museum at the 15 mile marker which informs visitors of the park's vegetation, native birds, and weather.
