Princeville features a shopping center, two golf courses, a walking path and a variety of restaurants.

Nearby activities include helicopter and horseback rides, hiking, many beaches and kayaking. The nearby towns of Hanalei and Kilauea offer interesting shopping and dining venues. Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge is just outside Kilauea. Thousands of seabirds nest atop sheer sea cliffs at the refuge, which also includes a historic lighthouse.
