Property DescriptionMake yourself at home in the islands ... Welcome to Pali Ke Kua 201, a stunning corner unit with windows on three sides showcasing Bali Hai views, humpback whales (in winter), brilliant rainbows, endless ocean views, awesome mountain views and cascading waterfalls -- breathtaking scenery from every room. This is a perfect honeymoon hideaway and an ideal place to celebrate your anniversary, or any special occasion.
Your home-away-from-home was newly renovated in mid-2011 and is light and airy with soaring cathedral ceilings, a tiled entry, native Polynesian artifacts and a full library of Hawaiian/Pacific history.
The master bedroom is on the main level and has a new, firm king bed and a full bathroom with a comfortable bathtub. The bright and airy loft upstairs has two new twin beds and an additional full bathroom with a shower.
The large, slate-tiled outdoor lanai has a chaise lounge as well as a dining table and chairs for fully enjoying the magnificent views. You'll see humpback whales in winter as well as albatross and nene year-round. Nene, sometimes referred to as nene geese, are Hawaii's state bird and can be quite entertaining as they stroll around the beautiful grounds.
There are weekly farmer's markets in Hanalei Town and Kilauea so you can get some local taste treats to prepare in your fully equipped kitchen. For your convenience, the washer and dryer are on main floor.
You are surrounded by lush tropical palms, acres of lawn, and native flowers and trees with a swimming pool and jacuzzi nearby.
There is a private, paved path to a secluded, white-sand beach, Hideaways Beach, with world-class seasonal snorkeling. Also, you are just minutes from world-famous Hanalei Bay where you can enjoy crescent-shaped Hanalei Beach, ranked the #1 U.S. beach in 2009!
Outdoor activities: Enjoy kayaking the Hanalei River, surfing world-famous point breaks, mountain biking, horseback riding, zip lining, playing tennis, and hiking the Kalalau Trail along Na Pali Coast.
Nearby are several restaurants, the newly remodeled St. Regis Princeville Resort, two world-class golf courses designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., Princeville Shopping Center and Princeville Library (with a great selection of books and DVDs).
