You will appreciate the convenience of being able to walk to the beautiful crescent-shaped beach at Hanalei Bay in about two minutes or less. And, it is no more than a five-minute walk to the center of Hanalei where you can treat yourself to a delicious meal at one of a variety of cafes and restaurants right in town.

Or, mail a postcard to friends back home at the post office, browse unique shops and galleries, rent a kayak to explore Hanalei River, sign up for surfing lessons, shop for fresh fish and other local ingredients to name just a few easily walkable adventures. You may also want to check out the Sunshine Markets and other farmers' markets around Kauai for fresh, locally grown produce to include in your favorite island recipes.

A short drive will take you to many gorgeous north shore beaches, the beginning of the Kalalau Trail at Ke'e Beach, and the beautiful Limahuli Gardens where guided and self-guided tours are available.
