Princeville

Description

This ocean cliff condo has views of the ocean from both patios off of the living room and the master bedroom. The dining room is surrounded by three windows with views of the ocean and boasts a fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities. The condo is in Princeville, Kauai, the Garden Island of Hawaii. This is located on the lush north side of the island. Activities include swimming, snorkeling, surfing, hiking, biking, kayaking, sailing and fishing. There is a 36 hole golf course and tennis courts within walking distance . The condo complex has its own private access to the beach by way of a paved path, providing privacy as well as a pool and hot tub. The condo complex is called Pali Ke Kua and ours is #146 in building 11. There is a restaurant on site and three within walking distance. Hanalei bay with it's beautiful beach and the quaint town are only minutes away!

The kitchen has been remodeled in 2020 with new floor, cabinets, counter top and appliances. The living room TV is a 55 inch HD TV with 300 cable channels and a DVD player. Each bedroom has a digital TV with standard cable. The full sized high efficiency washer and dryer are yours to use. We also provide free high speed internet and nationwide phone access. There are beach chairs and beach towels available for your use.

In late afternoon the sun shines on the lanai and into the condo. There are shades at the edge of the lanai that can be pulled down to shade the lanai. The window treatments in the living room can be closed to keep the sun out if needed. During the summer when the sun is warmest, keeping the window treatments closed for a couple of hours helps to keep the condo cooler.

This vacation spot in paradise has something for everyone.

We welcome your reviews and comments online after your stay.

Great location. Property could use a very very deep cleaning. Hot water was luke warm at best which made it difficult to shower.

Friendly and professional booking with rental agency. Wonderful condo with all you need for your stay from clean unit, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, beach gear and a spectacular view in a private location. Stayed in Kauai many times but love Pali Ke Kua the best for its convenience to beaches and town. The sunset and walk to beach are bonus!!

This is easily one of the nicest condos I've stayed in. Very clean, fully equipped kitchen, plenty of beach chairs, towels, and coolers. Floor fans were great because I was a little concerned about it being too warm w/out A/C, but pulling the blinds during the day did the trick! Management company was very responsive and easy to work with as well.

Beautiful accommodations. Very nice location in the lushest part of the island. Close to great snorkeling beaches and food. If it’s the hot time of year....VERY HOT. There were no breezes. From 2:30 - 6 pm you had to be out at a beach, the pool or in town for dinner. Fans couldn’t help. This was Sept. 14-22. Very hard to deal with the extreme humidity and the temp was 85.

We enjoyed our stay at this property and on the North Shore. We explored many of the area beaches and found our favorite snorkeling at Hideaway beach- accessible via a private walk from the condo. We hiked the Na Pali coast, went to the lighthouse and bird sanctuary, and ate some really amazing food. The condo was more dated than we expected and the inside seemed darker than what is shown in the pictures (the furniture is heavier and darker too). We appreciated how spacious the condo is- with the two bedrooms and bathrooms. Also, the views at sunset were gorgeous- there's a really great view of the Na Pali coast just across the lawn.

First time in Kauai with two teenagers. The property location was perfect as we mostly stayed on the North Shore but also easy drive to the south side of the island. Beautiful location with ocean views north. The property was quiet. The photos in the advertisement do not show the unit in it's current state. However the unit was clean and furnishings were comfortable. Plenty of space for Family of four. A few furnishings were broken upon arrival but nothing that hampered our stay or enjoyment. We would definitely stay here again.

We had another nice stay at PKK 146 in June. The unit works well for 4-5 people. Like most properties on Kauai, it lacks an AC (which would be nice), but you can adjust mostly. Clean and has everything you'd need. Great view of ocean. Everyone wants to come back.

My wife I have stayed at a few other places in Princeville and this one ranks at the top of what we like. The unit was clean, quiet and updated. Only negative was our first evening was hot and muggy. I knew the unit had no A/C and figured we would never need it. We really could have used A/C that day, but a cold shower and the fans throughout made the night manageable. Anyways, our remaining days were awesome and pleasant. I would stay here again no problem.

Pali Ke Kua is amazing. Great location, beautiful, quiet condo complex. Best sunset viewing ever. Our condo was pretty much perfect. The full kitchen was well supplied (good selection of things like salt and pepper, oils, etc, left by previous tenants), the bathrooms were good (second bath is small because of washer/dryer which was awesome). The interior furniture was nicely appointed. Our only issue (we had a two bed, two bath, single floor, lower unit) was the beds. The mattresses were pretty old (in the second bedroom) and the pillows and sheets were pretty old. One of the chairs on the patio was broken. There was no air conditioning in the unit which was OK in the second bedroom, but the primary bedroom got full afternoon sun and remained pretty warm. Over all, I would stay in the unit again, and will most definitely be back to Pali Ke Kua and the island of Kauai. The views from this unit are beyond amazing and the wildlife that comes to great you every day (nenes and egrets, frogs) on the lawn made for a most memorable stay. PS: The upstairs neighbors were pretty noisy at times as well).

After a week on Maui and two weeks on Kauai’s south shore, our 5 day stay in Pali Ke Kua was a welcome and wonderful escape. The view from our unit was fantastic, the condo was perfectly accommodating and the access to recreation in the area or to other amenities in Hanalei was perfect.

The View! It is a very impressive view that can be enjoyed from many rooms of this condo. Plus, the large grass area in between condo buildings offers extra privacy and a great place to see some amazing night time sky views of the stars. The Princeville Resort offers access to restaurants at the hotels within the property. Although, we enjoyed some local favorites with tips from friends who live here. Nice touch with a cooler and beach towels. Did we mention the view?

We loved our stay at Pali Ke Kua. This unit was well equipped, clean, and had nice upgrades. Beds were comfy and with the hide-a-bed, we were able to sleep 4 adults and 3 kids without issue. The views were spectacular and we loved being on the ground unit because our kiddos could play in the large grassy area out front. There was a group baseball game one night with neighbor kids, this is very family friendly! We were a little concerned about the cliff before we arrived but the units on this side are not as close and the cliff was not as steep. It was perfect for us and we could not have been happier. We had incredible weather the 2 weeks we were here and the afternoon sun could get a little intense on the lanai. It wasn't an issue as we spent mornings at the beach and afternoons at the beautiful pool. I can't imagine staying in any other development after staying at Pali Ke Kua! Kauai Vacation Rentals was accommodating with a couple well in advance date shifts, made key pick up and drop off easy.

My husband and I had a fantastic week in Kauai. The condo had absolutely everything we needed, including amazing views! We were grateful to be able to pack light - as they had laundry right in the condo, and loved making our own fish tacos at home using local fish from the Dolphin fish market in Hanalei.

Some of our favorite memories included a helicopter tour with Jack Harter (doors off!), hiking the Okolehao Trail and hopping from beach to beach all along the island! Anini Beach was my personal favorite, as it's the only one I felt comfortable swimming in with no surf.

St. Regis is just a short walk from the condo and has amazing sunset views on their balcony - I recommend going there early to get a spot and order some happy hour drinks!

We are so grateful that Bob and Ingrid rented their beautiful place to us - we will definitely be back!! 6 days was not long enough to explore all that Kauai has to offer.

This condo is absolutely wonderful! Not only is the view and location unbeatable but the condo is completely stocked making it easy to feel right at home. We loved being so close to Hanalei and so many wonderful beaches/restaurants. We also loved being able to just hang at the condo and grill our own fish tacos with cocktails of course :) we will definitely be back!

For those that commented on how warm the condo gets..we had no issues! There are drop down screens outside that can (and should) be pulled down while you’re away to keep the condo nice and cool. I recommend closing up the shades while you’re away as well. Chances are you will be visiting the beaches or doing a hike anyway!

There are amazing views from this condo's lanai! While staying in this unit (146), we saw whales just about every morning while taking in the spectacular view of the ocean. There is lush Kauai landscapes right outside your door. There is an entertaining collection of Hawaiian birds hanging out in the grassy courtyard. We enjoyed the convenient private walkway to the beach. The beach was uncrowded and provided hours of family fun. The pizza joint on property was a great convenient option for nights we were too tired to cook/go out. The location and the comforts of this condo were perfect for our family vacation!!

I almost didn't book this place due to the lack of reviews! So glad I kept the reservation.
What can I say, but WOW!!! We arrived in the evening and picked up our keys at our car rental location, it worked out perfectly with the packet of directions and keys to the place. We woke up the next morning and took stock of what we needed to pick up for groceries and supplies. We didn't need anything but food. The place had some laundry soap, kitchen soap, a little cleaning supplies, coffee filters, paper towels, garbage bags, and sandwich bags to last week. They also supplied beach towels, beach umbrella and toys for little ones. We had a few geckos but that didn't bother us at all. We were a family of four that included teenagers, and they rated it a 5 as well. Plenty of room for everyone to lounge, hang in rooms, and of course BBQ on the electric grill outside. BRING YOUR MOSQUITO REPELLENT. All of us but the husband got eaten alive. :) The unit is on the ground floor which we liked as we could walk out to the bluff in the mornings and in the evenings at sunset. The neighbors upstairs were a bit noisy in the mornings..got up at 5 every morning, but were fairly quiet during the day. We loved this property and would come back here again for sure! We didn't go to the pool at all, but I went to check out the new Pizza place and the menu looked decent. We used Kauai Vacation Rentals which was great to work with.
